I haven't done this in a very long time as I used to charge and watermark pictures and that little money would help me stay up to date on my camera gear. Watermarking is a pain and it takes away from firefighters being able to just pull pictures and use them. As most of you know I do this all 100% volunteer on my own time, gas, money etc. I do it for the fire department just like my Dad and I have done for decades. My good lens broke it's my all purpose lens for shooting in low light at close and zoom scenes. Now when I shoot everything is blurry or takes forever to focus and I miss pictures. They used to be a lot cheaper. To replace this lens will cost $500-$1500 depending if I can get the same or similar lens. SOOOO if anyone would like to donate to the new lens or the cause and help the photography keep going I'll drop my venmo here. But also I have over 6000 followers, I have a subscription for $1.74 a month. If a couple hundred or however many subscribed for 1 month for the month of July and cut the subscription that would also help. Thank you all for your continued support!!! At approximately 23:43hrs Last Night July-21-2025- Companies were dispatched to 501 Lansdowne ave @ the DCMH buillding for the reported building fire called in by security. Car-3 arrived reporting smoke showing from the Delta/Charlie side w/ crews trying to locate the source of the fire. Car-3 upgraded to the working fire reponse also eventually reaching a 2nd Alarm & special calls and a 2nd RIT company. Crews found a hot door to the boiler room, once the fire was located crews coordinated an interior attack and gained entry through various points including cutting a roll down door on the 1st floor. Numerous alley lines and handlines were deployed. The bulk of fire was knocked down and searches complete. The fire was placed under control @ approx 00:50hrs. The cause of fire is under investigation at this time.
