Join Home Earth Alliance and the Delaware-Otsego Audubon Society for our upcoming course, H.E.L.P - The Habitat & Ecosystems Land Pro certification program! H.E.L.P is a 3-day course for landscaping professionals and lawn service business owners who work in Upstate NY and the surrounding regions.

Co-taught by Kate Brittenham, Home Earth Alliance co-founder and co-author of “Designing Gardens with Flora of the America East,” this training will cover a full range of topics, including:

🌿Environmentally-friendly practices in managed landscapes
🌿Local native plants
🌿Soil types, geological areas and eco-regions
🌿Ecological design principles and natural climate solutions
🌿Monetizing and incentivizing the new ecological landscaping model
🌿Requirements for CEUs and endorsements.

This is a fun and critically important job and we need many hands. Bring a friend and spend an afternoon in our hoop house. No experience necessary! Come enjoy sun, soil, seeds, and soup! Pre registration appreciated. We hope you will join us!

Thank you to everyone who came to the art show opening on Friday night, including Senator Pat Fahy and to all who stopped by yesterday! Today is the last day to come view the pop-up art show, we’ll be here until 4!

The art show features over 100 works by 30 local artists celebrating native plants of the Upper Hudson Valley. Perfect gifts for the holidays! Proceeds benefit Home Earth Alliance and our IMAGINE Native Plant Farm’s mission to support biodiversity, mitigate climate change, and promote environmental justice. Free and open to the public.

We’ll also be hosting a silent auction with special items including watercolor workshops, native landscape designs, and a dinner party for 10.
