🍎 Glendora Teachers Association endorses Proposition 3! 📚

Following careful consideration and deliberation through our internal democratic process, GTA has voted unanimously to endorse Prop 3.

Prop 3 would protect existing funding for California public schools by continuing current tax rates on the state’s highest earners. According to CTA’s district funding calculator, Glendora Unified stands to lose approximately $22.4 million every year if this funding expires.

For GTA, supporting Prop 3 means protecting critical funding for our students, classrooms, educators, and public schools.

🍎 Glendora Teachers Association endorses Monica Garcia for GUSD Area 2 Trustee 📚

Following careful consideration and deliberation through our internal democratic process, Glendora Teachers Association has chosen, by a vote of our Rep Council, to endorse Monica Garcia in the 2026 GUSD School Board Election for Trustee Area 2.

To understand a bit more about our process for political endorsement, our Political Action Committee (PAC) meets in-person and interviews School Board Trustee Candidates. The entire membership of Glendora Teachers are made aware via email of the interviews and the upcoming vote on endorsement. The PAC then relays information about the candidates to Exec. Board and Rep Council. GTA Rep Council, made up of members elected or nominated from each school site and the elected Executive Board, deliberates and decides if we want to endorse a particular candidate.

At the conclusion of that process, Monica Garcia was endorsed overwhelmingly by our members through the aforementioned internal political process.

GTA appreciated the opportunity to meet with all candidates and looks forward to working with the entire board after the election.
