Thank you to the Greater Glendive Community Foundation for helping us spread the word! We will be at the Give Local event this upcoming April 30th at the Moose from 4PM-7PM! We are grateful to serve such an amazing community, and we can't wait to see you there!

Gosh, can't we help DC Domestic Violence get a new color copy machine? They will be at Give Local Glendive Day April 30 at the Moose from 4-7. Bring your checkbook, credit card, cash or venmo. Wouldn't it be great if someone or lots of somebodies could step up to help.... them or any of the 20 nonprofits making a difference locally.
Here's their story: The Dawson County Domestic Violence Program (DCDV) is raising funds to replace a critical piece of infrastructure, a high-capacity office copy machine that is used every day to produce victim service materials, including safety plans, protection orders, resources and coordinated response packets for law enforcement and community partners. In our rural service area of Dawson, Prairie, and Wibaux counties, reliable and efficient access to printed materials is essential to ensuring victims receive timely, informed, and trauma-informed support. Our current machine is no longer reliable, creating delays and barriers in service delivery. We have raised $1500 but a new machine cost $7585 and is not covered by current grant funding.

DCDV is inviting the community to a FREE movie screening on Stalking Awareness Day of Action. Join us on January 18th at 12 PM at Joe and Dee’s for a free showing of the suspenseful thriller The Perfect Guy. The first ten attendees will receive free popcorn and a small soda, so arrive early! A brief opportunity to learn about stalking will take place before the film, followed by the movie. We hope to see you there!

Looking for something special to give to a survivor in your life? Give them a gift that can have an impact for the rest of their life: empowerment. Empower survivors by believing them, showing that you are a safe, non-judgemental person for them to talk to, and respecting their boundaries. Empowered survivors feel confident in making decisions for themselves and their children that lead them to a violence-free future. For more information on how to empower survivors in your life, call the Dawson County Domestic Violence Program today at (406) 377-6477

As Thanksgiving approaches, it’s important to remember that not every home feels safe or peaceful during the holidays. For victims of domestic violence, this time of year can bring heightened stress, fear, or pressure to maintain appearances. You deserve to feel safe—emotionally and physically—and setting clear boundaries is one way to protect your well-being.
