Imagine Theatre

Imagine Theatre Imagine Theatre is Los Angeles' Equity Theatre for Young Audiences Imagine Theatre is LA's Premier Theatre for Young Audiences!

We tell relevant stories about gender equity and inclusion, spotlighting female heroes. We strive to dynamically engage with youth of all cultural and economic backgrounds, inspiring them to face life with creativity, insight, empathy and courage. We proudly seek to empower girls to make their own choices in life, to know they are worthy of the best opportunities, worthy of having a voice and speaking their minds, worthy of fulfilling their dreams. We commit to championing girls and enabling them with the confidence to succeed; and to teaching boys to understand why gender equality is good for everyone, recognizing their role in promoting these values. Derived from the experiences of many different ethnic groups that make up LAā€™s diverse cultural diaspora, IP invites children and parents to come together in the vast and nurturing space of theatre to make a difference in the lives of kids everywhere.

A very important moment in theatre. "I think the American nonprofit theater movement is over. That doesn't mean any individual theater is over. But every individual theater is having to make its own case and come up with its own business model. We've lost a lot of theaters, and we're going to lose more." Oskar Eustis is absolutely right - we must find our own individual new path forward for our company! We must build this road from scratch!
