Murphy was so much more than a service dog — he was a friend, a comfort, a source of joy, and a beloved member of the Treasure House family. 🧡
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our sweet Murphy at 13 years old.
For 10 incredible years, Murphy had a job to do — and he was the very best at it. He spent 3 years working in pediatrics at a local hospital, bringing comfort and companionship to children and families when they needed it most. Then, for 7 years, he became a treasured part of Treasure House, where he spent his days making a difference in the lives of our residents, staff, volunteers and everyone who walked through our doors.
But Murphy’s impact didn’t stop at the walls of Treasure House. Everyone who met Murphy knew there was something special about him. He had a way of making people feel welcome, bringing a smile to their face, and offering comfort without ever needing to say a word.
He worked every day of his life, and he gave his very best every single day. What an incredible life he lived — filled with purpose, love and countless people who were better because they knew him.
Murphy may no longer be walking the halls of Treasure House, but the mark he left on our community — and on everyone fortunate enough to meet him — will stay with us forever.
Thank you, Murphy, for 13 years of unconditional love, service, companionship and joy. You were the best, and you will be deeply missed.
Rest peacefully, sweet boy. You’ve earned it. 🧡
