UPCOMING PROGRAM: Values in Action: Jewish Women Shaping a Just World

DATE: Wednesday, September 23
TIME: 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Jewish Museum Milwaukee
COST: $5 members | $8 non-members | $5 gallery access

Through lived experiences and personal stories, a panel of Jewish women leaders working with different organizations and populations across the city will reflect on what it means to carry forward traditions of service, advocacy, and repair in today’s complex and often difficult landscape. A facilitated discussion follows, inviting participants to consider the challenges and rewards of this work and how values informed by justice, compassion, and communal responsibility can illuminate opportunities for supporting it.

NCJW-Milwaukee teamed up with Tikkun Ha-Ir of Milwaukee and Wisconsin Interfaith Voter Engagement Campaign (WIVEC) at the 4th Annual Future Voters Fest/Festival de Futuros Votantes with the goal of promoting interest in voting. Over 120 youth and adults attended the August 19th event on Milwaukee’s south side. NCJW and the 12 other event sponsors provided hands-on bilingual (Spanish-English) activities for teens, children and their families to learn about the voting process and to promote voting as a key responsibility in supporting our democracy. NCJW’s Barb Levin and Barbara Beckert joined THI/WIVEC's Rhonda Lindner on the planning committee. A great time was had by all!

PROGRAM RESCHEDULED | Values in Social Action: Jewish Women Shaping a Just World, originally scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, coincides with Election Day. We want everyone to have the opportunity to take part in civic engagement by casting their vote. In that spirit, we've moved the program to:
