Last night we had such an amazing night, gathering all three ACEYA–AZ youth groups together for an amazing Bible study led by Qasha Andrew Aziz, a presentation by the Assyrian American Bar Association and a great fall fellowship. Thank you all for joining us and we can’t wait to see you at more joint events in the future. Please see below a recap of our Bible study from last night.

Bible Study Recap: Marked as God’s Own

The main message of this Bible study is that we belong to God, and our lives should reflect that identity.
Throughout the Bible, God distinguishes those who belong to Him through signs, covenants, and seals. These passages remind us that God knows His people and calls them to remain faithful to Him, even when the world encourages them to live differently.
Because we belong to Christ, we are called to flee from sin, not to earn God’s love, but because He has already called us into a relationship with Him. Our bodies, choices, and actions should honor God.

Key lessons to remember
* Remember who you belong to
* Do not normalize sin
* Honor God with your body
* Resist peer pressure
* Flee from temptation
* Take practical steps

The main takeaway: We do not pursue holiness to earn God’s love. We pursue holiness because we belong to Him. Our lives should increasingly reflect Christ in our thoughts, decisions, and actions.

We had such an incredible joint study led by Archdeacon Gewargis Bet-Rasho. He asked us to reflect on the effects of Bible study and what we believe the word of God does. We discussed through scripture how the word of God impacts us all. To follow, we had fellowship with our two youths. God bless you all and we hope to see you at our next study! 💛

Bible study recap:

What Does the Word of God Do?
* Guides us: Psalm 119:105 — God’s Word lights our path and guides our decisions.


* Transforms us: James 1:22 — We must not only hear God’s Word but put it into practice.


* Gives us life and purpose: Genesis 1 — When God spoke, creation happened. His Word brings life and purpose.


* Shows us what needs to change: God’s Word reveals our weaknesses and teaches us how to live more like Him.


* Teaches us to love others: Our actions affect ourselves and those around us. Following God’s Word helps us treat others with kindness and love.


* Strengthens our faith: Romans 10:17 — Faith comes from hearing the Word of God.


Recap: God’s Word is more than something we read or hear; it is meant to change how we live, guide our choices, strengthen our faith, and lead us toward salvation.
