Tonight we had such an amazing Bible study led by Qasha Andrew Aziz. With the theme “Types” of St. Mary. Tonight we learned about the different representations and symbolism of St. Mary and the connection from Old Testament and New Testament.

Types: person object event institution in the OT that foreshadows a greater reality fulfilled in Christ and the NT

Verses from tonight’s study to review:
Numbers 17:1-11
Exodus 3:1-6
2 kings 2:19-22
Genesis 22:1-14
Ezekiel 44:1-3
Exodus1 25:10-22

After study we had a great time during our registration night meeting new youth members!

+ FEAST OF THE TRANSFIGURATION OF OUR LORD +

We pray you can join us this Thursday, August 6th to celebrate Raza Qaddisha for the Feast of the Transfiguration of our Lord (Eada’d Gilyana).

Raza Qaddisha will be offered at 9AM and 6PM at St Peter’s and 6PM at Mar Yosip Khnanisho Parish.

This year’s theme was “Faith Made Visible” James 2:18 - “But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”

Day 4:
We started our day out by volunteering in various locations throughout Detroit from planting seeds to packing food for families in need. We are so grateful we could be apart of something so special! The rest of the evening was spent celebrating together🤍

Conference Day 3:

Today the youth celebrated Raza Qadisha followed by the Patriarchal Brunch with His Holiness Mar Awa III, Catholicos-Patriarch of the Assyrian Church of the East.

During the brunch, our Youth President, Timmy, was honored with an award. We are incredibly blessed to have him as our president, his encouragement and Christ-centered leadership has inspired so many of us to grow stronger in our faith. He is someone every member of our youth can look up to, and his love and commitment to serving others has made an impact on our group. We are so grateful for Timmy and pray that God continues to bless him as he faithfully serves our youth💛
