Hallelujah!
Last Saturday, July 11, despite the scorching heat of over 110ยฐF, we gathered at 10:00 a.m. with one purposeโto fulfill the Great Commission of saving souls that our Lord has entrusted to us.
After earnestly praying together, six faithful members of our Pray & Go team went into the apartment communities surrounding our Corps. We prayerfully visited nearly 100 households, praying in front of each apartment door, leaving a Pray & Go door card, and whenever the Lord brought someone across our path, we had the privilege of praying with them personally and inviting them to worship with us.
Though our efforts may seem small, we believe the Lord was pleased with our obedience. What a joy it was to see six first-time visitors join us for Sunday worship the very next day! We give all the glory and thanks to God for this wonderful encouragement.
As we worshiped together, we reflected on our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave His very life to save lost souls. We were also inspired by General William Booth, who declared that the souls of men and women were the goal of his life. Together, we renewed our commitment that, like our Lord and like William Booth, we at the Glendale Corps will dedicate the rest of our lives wholeheartedly to the salvation of souls. To God be all the glory!
