Our post also has a canteen and the hours listed are the canteen hours. We are committed to helping our fellow Comrades and Sisters, and we actively participate in the communities that surround our Post Home.

The post NEEDS YOUR HELP this week!

1. Wednesday, May 20, 2026 (tomorrow) / Flag Sort & Bunch

Rally: 09:00 AM @ Sandy Coor Post 1433 VFW, 7618 N 63rd Ave., Glendale, AZ 85304.

Note: We will need help removing all memorial flag markers from the Connex to sort, group, and replace them with new ones as needed. We will perform the task in the main hall. The more volunteers we have, the quicker we can complete the task.

2. Saturday, May 23, 2026 / Flag Drop 07:00 AM – 8:30 AM

Rally: 07:00 AM @ Main Bldg, W. Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301.

Note: Require at least three VFW volunteers to assist with the distribution of flag memorial marker bundles and poles. Two volunteers will each conduct cemetery rounds using golf carts equipped with coolers of water and a bin of flags. One volunteer shall be stationed at Rest Haven Main to distribute flag memorial markers as new community volunteers arrive.

3. Saturday, May 23, 2026 / Community Breakfast 09:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Rally: 06:00 AM @ Sandy Coor Post 1433 VFW, 7618 N 63rd Ave., Glendale, AZ 85304.

Note: Emmitt and Stacy Lovelady are leading the charge in creating a wonderful community breakfast for all Flag Drop Saturday volunteers. However, they can’t do it by themselves. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

4. Tuesday, May 26, 2026 / FOD Walk 07:00 AM

Rally: 07:00 AM @ Main Bldg, W. Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301.

Note: Apollo High School Navy JROTC is assisting Post 1433 in the removal of all memorial flag markers. However, they are unable to do so independently. Please note that the school is currently not in session, resulting in limited availability of volunteers. Therefore, we kindly request as many volunteers as possible to support us in this effort.
