Committee Member Spotlight: Addey Rascon, MS, CHES
Addey is a nationally certified Community Health Education Specialist with over 16 years of experience across nonprofit, local, state, and national public health sectors. Growing up in rural Arizona and living in diverse regions of the U.S., she brings a strong understanding of how food and healthcare deserts impact community well-being. She holds a B.S. in P***c Health and an M.S. in Digital Strategy and Audience Research.
In her current role at Arizona State University’s Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation, Addey partners with researchers, faculty, and community stakeholders to design and implement programs that reduce chronic disease and advance health equity. She also consults with national organizations, providing technical assistance and strategic messaging to support initiatives focused on brain health and chronic disease prevention.
Throughout her career, Addey has led statewide public health initiatives, developed strategic plans, and secured significant funding to expand prevention programs. A recognized leader in chronic disease prevention and community engagement, she continues to advance data-driven, equitable public health solutions at both state and national levels.
