American FootGolf Federation

American FootGolf Federation The American FootGolf League introduced FootGolf in the U.S. in 2011.

Member of the Federation for International FootGolf (FIFG.ORG) and governing body for the sport of FootGolf in the United States

THE FEDERATION: USAFootGolf.org
THE LEAGUE: FootGolfUSA.com
STORE: FootGolfStore.com In July 2012 the AFGL was recognized by the Federation for International FootGolf as its exclusive member and governing body for the sport in the country until 2018, when the American FootGolf Federation, a 501 c3 non-profit, was founded and replaced the AFGL under the umbrella of the FIFG. As the governing body for the sport of FootGolf in the US the AFGF and the AFGL have grown the game to over 500 courses in all 50 states, District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, since 2011. With over 20,000 FootGolf players booking tee times every month, the game continues to prove a viable source of revenue for golf course operators. Golf facilities can be Accredited or Certified with the AFGL while receiving guidance in course design and the standards for the distances for par. The organization gives support to golf course owners and operators to generate traffic on their FootGolf course; bringing them a new demographic.

BAY AREA OPEN 250 & U.S. NATIONAL RANKING 2026

Registration is now open for the final AFGL Tour tournament awarding points before The Nationals 2026.

The FootGolf course at MBGC will be redesigned for this event. The Bay Area Open 2026 will award 250 points toward the AFGL Tour, North American Tour, and FIFG World Tour Rankings.

AFGL-affiliated players:

Add points to your U.S. National Ranking by competing in the Bay Area Open 250 and The Nationals 1000.

This year marks the introduction of a prize for the top-ranked players in the AFGL. The number-one-ranked player in each of the Men’s, Senior Men’s, Senior Men Plus, and Women’s (Women and Senior Women are combined) categories will receive free entry to the U.S. Open and The Nationals in 2027.

These are the final two tournaments of the year that count toward the rankings: the Bay Area Open and The Nationals 2026. Don’t miss this opportunity to add points to your 2026 ranking.

⚽⛳ More than a game.

FootGolf is a place to play, belong, believe and lead.

And sometimes, all it takes to start is an invitation.

Next time you head to the course, bring your girlfriend, your daughter, your sister, a friend or a teammate. Share your passion, show her the game and give her the chance to discover FootGolf for herself.

One invitation could be the beginning of a lifelong love for the sport. 💙

Let’s bring more women and girls into FootGolf — one player at a time.
