🚒 MORE Fire Prevention Education at St. Genevieve du Bois Catholic School and North Glendale Elementary!!!!!

We’re taking time to help students and families understand a few simple steps that can make a big difference in an emergency:

🔔 Smoke Detectors
Make sure smoke alarms are installed, working properly, and tested regularly. Early warning gives your family valuable time to escape.

📍 Family Meeting Place
Establish a designated meeting location outside your home. If you have to evacuate quickly, everyone should know where to go so family members can be accounted for.

🔋 Safe Device Charging
Always charge phones, tablets, laptops, and other devices on a hard, flat surface. Avoid charging on beds, couches, blankets, or carpeting, where heat can build up and increase fire risk.

🔥 Fire safety starts with preparation. A few simple habits can help keep our families and communities safer.

Honoring the Dedicated Service of Chief James Briesacher

It is with heavy hearts that we honor the legacy of James Briesacher, a dedicated community leader who devoted his entire career to the fire service.

Jim began his journey in 1979 as a firefighter for the community of Glendale, Missouri. Over the years, his leadership and unwavering commitment led to his rise to Captain, a role in which he served until his retirement in 2003. Jim continued his service with the Pacific Fire District as a Fire Inspector before returning home to Glendale to serve as Chief of the Fire Department from 2015 to 2017. He was also a proud Veteran of the United States Army.
