The CORE Institute was proud to be represented at Ortho in the West, hosted by the Physician Associates in Orthopaedic Surgery (PAOS). This educational conference brings together orthopedic surgeons, physician assistants, and musculoskeletal professionals to share current research, clinical insights, and practical approaches to patient care.
Several members of our team were invited to present, contributing their expertise across a range of important orthopedic topics:
• Todd Phillips, MD, presented on Peri-Articular Elbow Fractures, focusing on evaluation and treatment considerations.
• Niloofar Dehghan, MD, MSc, FRCSC, FAAOS, presented Trauma: What Not to Miss, highlighting key fracture patterns and guidance on operative versus non-operative management of the clavicle, humerus, wrist, and ankle.
• Chaim Kaplan, PA-C, MMS, presented Understanding Your Value as an Orthopedic Physician Assistant, emphasizing the role of physician assistants in advancing patient care and supporting the business of medicine.
• David Eschler, PA-C, presented The Graft Game: Understanding the Strengths and Weaknesses in ACL Surgery, reviewing graft selection considerations and clinical outcomes.
In addition, Tanner Daniell, PA-C, The CORE Institute’s first Orthopedic Physician Assistant Fellow, was also in attendance.
We are proud of these physicians and physician assistants for their contributions to advancing orthopedic education and fostering collaboration across the field.
