What we do:
We are here to offer help to cancer patients in remission or survivors who are suffering from the long term dental effects that chemo and radiation cause and no one warns you about. So while we try to help patients repair the damage done, we also want to raise awareness. Those who will be diagnosed in the future should be warned that this will happen. It should not come as a surprise,
nor should the patient feel like it's their fault and they don't practice good oral hygiene. No matter how well you clean your teeth or how many times a day, chemo and radiation are going to effect them. Especially if you get radiation near your mouth as I did due to the tumors in my neck. It can destroy or seriously impair your bodies ability to create saliva, which is what naturally keeps our mouths healthy. So if you are suffering, please know, it's not your fault and you are NOT alone. Want to give someone their final wishes? We hold an annual golf tournament to raise money to help a terminal patient do something amazing that they've always wanted to do.
