We join our community in mourning the loss of Sgt. Benjamin Pennington, who passed away while serving on a mission in Saudi Arabia during Operation Epic Fury.

A 2017 graduate of Central Hardin High School, Sgt. Pennington represented the very best of Hardin County, Kentucky, and our nation. His service, courage, and devotion to this country were truly honorable, and his willingness to make the ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Our hearts are with his family during this time of unimaginable loss. Their impact on this community has been felt by so many through their support and encouragement of youth, high school track, and cross country athletes. We grieve alongside them as they mourn a beloved son, brother, and soldier.

Please keep the Pennington family in your thoughts and prayers.

A huge heartfelt, eyes watering moment at the closing ceremony when Mrs. Carol Jaggers was given one of the highest awards. Just about everyone knew Mrs. Jaggers and loved her. We are extremely grateful that her family shared her with us.

The fair board would like to congratulate our fair president Marty Fulkerson on an outstanding job while serving as the Kentucky Association of Fairs and Horse Shows State President

One of the many highlights of this past weekend's convention was Marty receiving a tiara, pin, sash, and flowers He made the most out of it and walked the runway He needs to work on his "half turns".
