From switching cars in the yard, to picking up and delivering freight at industrial sidings, to watching heavy trains work the mainline, Operations Night shows how railroads function as a full transportation system. It’s a hands-on demonstration of why T is for Transportation, and why railroading remains essential in both the real and model world.

The Glendale Model Railroad Society invites you to step back into 1950s Southern California and watch the trains roll through iconic locations like the Los Angeles Union Passenger Terminal, Glendale Station, the Tehachapi Loop, and “Beautiful Downtown Burbank.”
