To Alaska and Beyond...we are thankful for the opportunity to send a small scouting team (Tommy Lohmann and Joel Brown) to the North Slope of Alaska to scout for dinosaur bones. We say "scout", because it is rather difficult to obtain permits for collection. We undertook a scouting trip to help bolster our future permit applications. Any visit to the North Slope is an adventure, though ours was not nearly as dramatic as The Great Alaskan Dinosaur Adventure of years past. We learned our way around the North Slope, travelled 200+ miles on the Colville River, found dinosaur bones, and, most importantly, met some extremely helpful Inupiaq natives who were a huge help. Praise the Lord!
Note: This is part of a long-term effort to expand creation researchers' access to paleontological specimens from colder climates. These cold-climate specimens will compliment our ongoing research with specimens from the lower 48.
