Glencoe Community Garden is a community-wide service project for community members of all ages and abilities. It will be a sustainable, organic-practicing, food-producing mini-farm and garden and serve local food kitchens, pantries and other charitable organizations. People from all communities are invited to join us in this exciting project! Our Garden will have accessible planting areas for indi

viduals with disabilities and offer a myriad of educational, social action and community opportunities, all are welcome! We have strong support from our interfaith community on Chicago's North Shore, working with members of all the local houses of worship. It’s always an outstanding day at the GCG when our incredible Bank of America Community Volunteers come to help — and Friday was no exception! 🙌. This hardworking crew accomplished SO much in just a few hours: topping off all the planting beds, securing the drip irrigation, hauling and smoothing out fresh wood chips, AND planting green beans! 💪🪴🫘

Thanks to their energy, teamwork, and dedication, the Garden is looking absolutely beautiful and we are feeling excited, organized, and ready for our amazing 2026 planting season. We truly couldn’t do it without the support of our fantastic volunteers from Bank of America. Their enthusiasm, commitment, and willingness to tackle every task make such a meaningful difference to the Garden and the communities we serve. THANK YOU for helping the GCG continue to grow and thrive! 💚

It was so wonderful to have Phillip Sudderberg’s New Trier Advisery back volunteering at the Garden 🪴. It truly means so much to us when New Trier Adviseries (and other groups too) not only lend a hand in the Fall, but return again in the Spring to keep the momentum growing 💚 Your continued support, hard work, and positive energy make such a difference throughout the Garden.

There’s something really special about watching familiar faces come back season after season—helping the GCG bloom and thrive 👍. Now we’re crossing our fingers that we’ll get to see all of you again this summer too!! ☀️ Starting mid June just drop in Tuesday and Thursday mornigs 7:30 to 9:00 am and Saturdays 10:00 am to Noon to help harvest our veggies for those in need. It always feels good to do good!!

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome New Trier’s Kathleen Talmadge back for her 10th season at the GCG! 🌿💚 Kathleen always brings her “A” game (and the most hardworking Adviseries!) ~ and today was no exception! 💪. Kathleen’s small-but-mighty crew jumped right into action—moving mountains of fresh soil and transforming our planting beds into beautiful, ready-to-grow spaces 🌱🌸

We are so grateful for your energy, dedication, and can-do spirit ~ you and your New Trier Advisery make such a difference!!!! Looking forward to working together again soon. Please drop in anytime during the summer Tuesday and Thursday mornings 7:30 - 9:00 am and Saturdays 10:00 am to noon.

WOOHOO 🙌 Joe Mortier and his New Trier Advisery returned to the GCG on Wednesday afternoon and absolutely crushed it! 💪. Joe and his hardworking crew never slowed down from the moment they arrived ~ digging trenches, hauling and spreading topsoil, and helping get the Garden ready for spring planting season 🪴

The combination of hard work, teamwork, and plenty of laughter made the afternoon just fly by. It’s amazing what can happen when great attitudes and strong backs come together for a good cause 💚. We’re so grateful for all they accomplished and already can’t wait to welcome this fantastic group back to the Garden again soon! 🌼.

Please drop in during our summer hours starting mid June Tuesday and Thursday mornings 7:30 am to 9:00 am and Saturdays 10:00 am to Noon. No need to reserve a spot . . . just come in !!! We’ll have a lot growin’ on and could use your incredible help!!! ❤️

What a fantastic GCG Tuesday afternoon with New Trier’s Danah Ouimette’s Advisery! 🙌 These marvelous young ladies didn’t miss a beat ~ they jumped right in, sprinkling sulfur, hauling fresh soil, and giving our planting beds the ultimate glow-up 💪🌸🌱 (with smiles to match!)

There’s nothing better than when a New Trier Advisery comes back to the GCG—it’s truly the best kind of awesome, gratifying, and productive all rolled into one! 💪 We were absolutely thrilled to welcome back Matt Ravenscraft’s Advisery on Tuesday morning. These incredible young men rolled up their sleeves and got to work—digging trenches, hauling soil, reimagining our Rethink • Recycle • Reuse Garden, and so much more!

👍 This mighty crew from New Trier’s Katherine Schindler’s Advisery accomplished an incredible amount in such a short time—we were truly impressed. Their energy, teamwork, and willingness to jump right in made a huge difference, and we are so grateful for all they helped us tackle. The GCG is gearing up for a GREAT 2026 season!
