Service is important at SNAP! So when Heartland Animal Shelter moved to a remote location due to a flood, our group stepped up to support adopters in ensuring their new furry friends would be right at home with these dog and cat adoption baskets! Thank you to Glencoe Youth Services and the Rosenthal Family Foundation for their generous donations in making these baskets possible! And of course a big shout out to all our SNAP families for their basket goodies!

That's a wrap on dinner and a movie night at SNAP! It was a unanimous thumbs up for Empire Waist and a five star rating for Jeanne's drumsticks! Thank you Clay and the amazing staff at Wayfarer Theatre for another wonderful evening!

No need to say goodbye to gardening this fall for SNAP members who made indoor herb gardens to go last night!! Great crowd with Warming House volunteers and tech extraordinaire Noah Berg, great food courtesy of Jennifer Adler and a super hands on workshop by Tamara Rubio! Almost forgot to mention the celebration of September birthdays and 45 years to Luba in the US!!

It was all cupcakes and EDIBLE CHOCOLATE CANDLES for our season opener last Tuesday at SNAP!! THANK YOU local entrepreneur and Shark Tank winner Loree Sandler for such a great presentation on her company Let Them Eat Candles!! And a big shout out to Luba and her family for the wonderful dinner. This FRIDAY SNAP is heading to Ravinia for a potluck on the lawn followed by a performance by the Joffrey Ballet. Message if you'd like to join!

What better way to celebrate National Tie Dye day then by tie dying!! Join us at SNAP TONIGHT at 6pm at the GYS Field House as Brian and Jeanne Reed take us on tour of New York City with hot dogs, sauerkraut, cheesecake and more!! And of course, another AMAZING Jeanne produced slideshow!

Glencoe Youth Services is hosting a teen comedy night at 28 Mile in Highwood TOMORROW from 5:30-7. Come and support local talent! And they have great pizza. Perfect environment to laugh and meet new people! The event is FREE. And the host is Highwood comedian and stand up performer extraordinaire Joel Chmara. No need to sign up. Walk up comics welcome!
