Chris, from XCEL Electrical in Cleburne, came by the Lodge and wired our new signs for us today. He did a great job and was very fair on his price. If you are looking for something to do after the sun goes down, take a ride by our Lodge. It looks pretty sharp.

We have had a busy week at our Lodge. We have just about completed a self-help project of painting the dining room. Our stated meeting was last night and I must say the dining room was still in disarray. Seem like a perfect time for a pizza party before opening Lodge.

Mark Pearson, Past Master of Glen Rose Masonic Lodge 525, presented Christian Najera with the prize from the lodge's spring charity raffle. Thanks to everyone who supported our charity raffle, it was big success.

The time had come to give the dining room in our lodge a facelift. We had several brothers “eagerly” show up this morning ready to paint. We did not get finished today, but we made a lot of headway. I think we all may have achy muscles tonight!

I have grown to love history as the years have ticked by but our Lodge needed a facelift. Our old signs’ destiny is still to be determined, but I assure you they will go to good homes. The new products look great on the front of our building and the LED lighting should last for many, many years. Come join us at our stated meeting on the second Thursday of each month and see them for yourself. Dinner at 6:30 and meeting at 7:30.

This is a close-up of the two signs that have been hidden for 50 years. A lot of pride and craftsmanship went into the construction of these. We will do some digging and trying to determine when they came into existence.

Today we said goodbye to the old signs that have adorned our building for over 50 years. As they came down, we got a surprise. These 50 year old signs were mounted over some older signs that apparently nobody in the Lodge remembered.

Greetings!
Here is a short recap of our stated meeting for April 2026.
- The signs for the front of our building; slight change from what was announced in our meeting, the company is about 2 1/2 weeks behind schedule so hopefully around 1 May for installation.
- The drawing for our next raffle will be on 14 May at our stated meeting. Everybody please make selling tickets a priority.
- Election of officers for the 2026 - 2027 year will be coming up very quickly, voting at the June stated meeting. Let your desires be known for what chair you might be interested in.
- Treasurers report, we are still solvent in all three accounts.
- We will be practicing in ernest for a fellow craft degree. Probably in about four weeks.
- It is time to paint our dining room in the Lodge. Mark Pearson and Keith Sauls are committee chairs to spearhead the project. Please let one of them know what supplies you have available that can be used.
- We have a Golden Trowel plaque that has brother Crisp’s name now added.
- The Chamber of Commerce luncheon will be on 16 April at 12 o’clock at Whiskey Woods. It is sold out, but if you check with the chamber, there is a chance a ticket might become available.
- A visit to brother Everett was discussed. We will coordinate with him to determine the time. Most likely it will be a weekday. More to follow.
- Members of Granbury Lodge were in attendance and reclaimed the traveling gavel.
- On a separate note, Granbury Lodge hosted a forum on Saturday, 11 April. Three members of Glen Rose Lodge were in attendance. It proved to be very educational and great fellowship was enjoyed by all.

Thank you for your attention.
