Another local power station that has hit hard times. Selling electricity is tough business.

The Wolf Hollow I plant in Hood County will change ownership as part of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filed by Exelon Generation Texas Power LLC, a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Exelon Generation. Three other Texas plants are expected to fall under new ownership as part of EGTP’s deal with creditors...

From: Guy James @ Union 1

September 25, 2017

TO: ALL SECURITY OFFICERS, ALARM STATION OPERATORS, AND TEST GROUP OFFICERS WORKING ON THE COMANCHE PEAK NUCLEAR SITE

Greetings, the Union hosted two official proposal and negotiation-committee selection meetings last week. The rank and file selected the following people to serve on the Negotiation Committee:
· Tony Gatton
· John Hathaway
· Terry Till
· Cristi Nickels

I understand that some people could not attend the meetings. In an effort to have everyone’s voices heard, and have an opportunity to provide a more comprehensive proposal to your employer, we will accept proposals via email strictly in the following manner:
· The deadline to submit a proposal is at the close of business Friday, September 29, 2017.
The emailed proposal must include everyone on the negotiation committee.
· If you receive an email from the Union, simply “reply all” so that the committee representatives can see as well.
· No proposals will be accepted after the deadline and/or if not sent to the entire committee.
· The Union may accept proposals can add to the proposals already accepted at the meetings.

Since the Union does not have everyone’s email address, the negotiation committee email list is below:
· Guy James [email protected]
· Tony Gatton [email protected]
· John Hathaway [email protected]
· Terry Till [email protected]
· Cristi Nickels [email protected]

We have assembled a great team. I am impressed by the professionalism and unity of everyone who attended the meetings. We are ready to get to the negotiating table and get our first UNION contract!

In Solidarity,

Guy F. James

Brothers and Sisters.... Securitas has responded to demand for information and has introduced its chief negotiator. They have also indicated they are compiling our demanded information. We expect to be in receipt of this information shortly. Next step is to meet with you and formulate your formal UNION demands!!

Update from Guy James, FCGOA President.

The NLRB issued the official certificate of representation. The union sent a demand to the employer yesterday for information and requested dates for negotiations. Once the information is returned the union will schedule a proposal and negotiating committee meeting with the officers . After the proposals are collected we formulate "draft" our formal demands meet with the employer and negotiate an agreement.
The information should take less than a month, union needs about two weeks to review and start designing an agreement. We want to be at the table in September.

This is proof that a voice matters.
