Long time no actual personal post, I know.
While the fire did destroy the sanctuary and continuing it, it doesn’t mean we don’t want to still help.
This was brought to us by a friend and relative as something she wants to tackle. The strays on her block. The babies get run over, and when she went to the SPCA with a badly mangled and suffering baby that had just gotten ran over and needed released from its suffering they hassled HER and were down right nasty about it. She is someone others there know as a TNR person and someone who has volunteered and worked with the programs for years.
I am losing confidence in the SPCA and all hope that they will ever turn around and forge relationships with local rescues and individuals dedicated to making a difference in cats lives …. So as a non profit… we might try to help fund this project and make the difference in these cats lives.
More to come! I need to check on out non profit status and paperwork as I let it all go after the fire because I just didn’t want to deal with any reminder of what we lost .
The thought that we can make life better for a handful of cats and kittens gives me a bit of a warm fuzzy feeling. Now time to reconnect my board of directors and see what we can do to help this young woman and her dedication to these cats!
