I'm so excited for Christopher's Comic Book Inspirations this year, starting on 1/3/24 as we are adding a new twist. Our workshop teacher Alexander Simmons will deconstruct superheroes' powers and how they connect to science. The 4th graders will then create their own characters based on science facts they know! How cool is that?

There's still time to participate in the virtual walk/run to support underserved children and kids fighting cancer. If you aren't a runner/walker, you can jump rope, cycle, run up and down steps or whatever you want. The virtual event is in celebration of my son, Christopher, who would be 25 on Sunday, April 9th. Christopher passed from leukemia at the age of 9. One of the things he loved to do was to create comic books. We established the foundation to share his passion with underserved children. More than 1000 kids have participated in Christopher's Comic Book Inspirations, giving them an outlet to dream, learn and explore their imaginations. We now work with kids fighting cancer. Please consider supporting the kids we support. Entry fee is $25.

On Sunday, April 9th, my son, Christopher, would be 25. The foundation is honoring his birthday with a virtual walk/run. Entry fee is $25. Christopher passed from leukemia at the age of 9. In celebration of Christopher's 25th birthday on April 9th, the foundation is hosting a virtual walk/run to benefit children fighting cancer and underserved children. The entry fee is$25. You can walk/run anytime from today (March 14th) - April 9th. Please help us support the kids we support!

Christopher's Comic Book Inspirations is finally back in person this year. We are working with the 4th grade at School 27 in Paterson. Here are a few of their original characters. It's so much fun watching the kids explore their imaginations and I love spending time with them. One little boy asked me on Wednesday, "Can you guess my character's name?" He had already told me he was going to color the character green. I said, "Green?" He got a big smile on his face and said, "Yes! You got it!" Their energy is amazing and reminds me of Christopher and his own fascination with creating comics.

Thank you to everyone who donated magazines to our Foundation. They were delivered to the Boys & Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic yesterday. Part 2: The kids will cut words and pictures from the magazines. The artful clippings will be sent to schools and pediatric cancer hospitals in Armenia for the children there to create recycled art projects!

A big thank you to GR senior Jillian Luftman for organizing the magazine drive and collecting all all of the magazines! We appreciate all of your help.

The Foundation hosted two character creation workshops with two amazing comic professionals: Alexander Simmons of Kids Comic Con and John Gallagher, author of the Max Meow series, at . Joseph’s Children’s Hospital/
The Valerie Fund Children’s Center for Pediatric Cancer & Blood Disorders in Paterson NJ. In the second workshop, children from other departments at St. Joe's Children's Hospital joined the fun!

Our flagship program is Christopher's Comic Book Inspirations in which professional authors and illustrators teach the children, via zoom, how to create their own original comics and characters. With every registration, you help us offer this program to more kids.
