The SYCSD Orchestra Boosters are participating in Give Local York this year!

WHO ARE THE SYCSD Orchestra Boosters ?

Founded in 2024, the SYCSD Orchestra Boosters is dedicated to enriching the musical education of all orchestral students at Susquehannock High, Southern Middle, and all three Elementary Schools. We supplement to supplement the needs of the students for things like trips, for bringing in in-house clinicians to broaden the students' musical knowledge, & we've also started a scholarship this year!

WHAT IS GIVE LOCAL YORK & WHY SHOULD WE DONATE THROUGH THEM?

Beginning at 7:00 pm tonight, April 30th and running through 7:00 PM Friday, May 1st, Give Local York will hold the largest giving day in York County! The SYCSD Orchestra Boosters are excited to participate in Give Local York for the first time. By donating to the SYCSD Orchestra Boosters through Give Local York, the Boosters will be eligible for matching gifts and extra prizes! All donations are important and will help us reach our goal, no matter the size. To make your contribution, please visit the SYCSD Orchestra Boosters site on Give Local.

The SYCSD Orchestra Boosters are looking for orchestra parents, particularly of elementary & middle school aged children, to join the boosters! (All orchestra parents are welcome!) We'd love fresh, new ideas on fundraising, orchestra related activities, how to keep kids motivated & how to keep them playing through high school, etc. Our next Zoom meeting is Monday, April 20th! Please check out the amazing baskets that the SYCSD Orchestra Boosters will have available for silent auction before the All District Orchestra concert this coming Wednesday! Payment can be made in cash or by check payable to SYCSD Orchestra Boosters. (Venmo will also be available, but connection is often unreliable at the school! 😬)
Many thanks to the wonderful local businesses, and to the parents of our orchestra students for their generous donations! The boosters are looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday!

Our old one was connected to the admin's personal account, so we wanted to create an account that could be passed down to future booster parents when the current ones' children age out!
