2023 National Jamboree Administration Pillar

2023 National Jamboree Administration Pillar Welcome to the official public page for the 2023 BSA National Jamboree Administration Pillar. The official Jamboree website is https://jamboree.scouting.org.

Delivering a lifetime of memories to thousands of Scouts, their adult leaders, and visitors requires hundreds of Jamboree Service Team (staff) volunteers. The work of the JST is organized first into five large categories of work that we call "pillars": Administration, Contingent Operations, Emergency Management, Logistics, and Program. The Administration Pillar is generally focused on leveraging i

nformation to organize and problem-solve across the many interconnected processes of the Jamboree. Our pillar contains the areas related to registration and access to the Jamboree site, guest and participant services, JST support, medical and public health support, external and internal communications, on-site information technology, international support, customer (participant and visitor) experience, data management, and dozens of smaller teams included within each of the areas mentioned above. This page shares information and updates from the Administration Pillar management specifically about our work for the Jamboree. Our information will be interesting to the hundreds of volunteers who work in and partner with our pillar.

Dear Scouting Friends,

The Jamboree Service Team (JST) is the name for the volunteer staff who will design, plan, and deliver the 2023 National Scout Jamboree for the Scout participants, their adult leaders, and our visitors. The 2023 Jamboree leadership as a whole, and our pillar in particular, are committed to welcoming the most diverse and youngest-average-age JST in the history of the BSA. That means that we welcome you and your Scouting friends to join our team!

Any registered BSA volunteer can apply to join the team and commit your talents to a most unique event in the history of Scouting. It is possible to volunteer on-site for the Jamboree for the first week, the second week, or for the entire Jamboree event. Those age 33 and under receive a JST fee discount. Additional details for those curious about the JST can be found at the link below.

The Administration Pillar needs many volunteers across a wide array of skills and interest areas. Our Administration service areas offer an excellent place for a first-time Jamboree volunteer to feel welcome and gain their first Jamboree experiences. We also need seasoned Jamboree staff veterans to help guide the way. The skills required in many of our volunteer service roles match those that you would find in professional office and organization settings. Extensive Scouting and BSA experience is not required, as our volunteer managers will train and guide their staffs to smooth and smart operations. We work extensively with information and processes that help us organize our event, its people, and the services necessary to keep everyone informed, safe, connected, and heading in the right direction.

In future posts to this page we will highlight some of the particular job roles that we have available to reveal more about the fun and impactful opportunities our volunteers can apply for. As an initial introduction, the broad categories of opportunities we have for volunteers include:

đŸ’ģ Registration & Access
â„šī¸ Guest & Participant Services

🌎 International
📱 Information Technology

Sincerely,

Your friends in the Administration Pillar 😃
