Hi everyone. Despite this being such a sad time, we do have good news to report. Most of our pups are going home this week / soon. That’s right into their own FOREVER HOMES‼️

🚨Unfortunately, we still have 3 dogs that do not have a home lined up. We’re still hopeful that we can have one last push to find them their perfect homes without having to shuffle them elsewhere. 🚨

- Pillsbury & Doughboy - Claimed by Little Shelter, looking for foster/adopter to avoid shelter
- Brie - Claimed by Second Chance Rescue, looking for foster/adopter to avoid shelter

We knew that these pups would be difficult to place as it’s hard for most people to take on a bonded pair and in Brie’s case, she’s a slow burn when it comes to accepting new people. If you have the space, heart, and most importantly are financially able to take on any of these 3 pups we encourage you to consider it! That said, it will take very special adopters and we won’t put them in a home that’s the wrong fit just to say we did. We want this to be a home that works out for the long haul! All 3 of these dogs are so sweet and loyal, we know that when they find the right home it will be a beautiful thing.

Spotlight on BAGEL! 🥯 He is a 10 year old French Bulldog/Boston Terrier mix. His ideal household is one where he is the ONLY animal and there are NO small children. He is fine with older children and all adults, but babies and small kids scare him.

Bagel is such a love bug! When he’s not cuddling with you, he’s so playful. He would play fetch or tug-of-war with you forever if he could. He is housebroken, healthy, and loves going on walks. He lived with one family for all 10 years of his life, so he is missing that constant love and attention. Poor Bagel is lonely and in need of his own people. Will you be the family that gives Bagel his forever home?

UPDATE AS OF 11/30/25 5:40 PM: We have gotten a bunch of applications but WE ARE STILL LOOKING OR IN HOME PLACEMENT! Little Shelter will take ownership, we just need at the very least a foster. Please note these dogs have had exposure to ringworm and it is highly recommended that they be isolated in your home for at least 3 weeks (until a negative culture result can come back) before integrating with the rest of your home/other animals. We can provide a play pen they after already comfortable in and everything you need to get started but having the space and ability to do this is a MUST. With no applications for these two, they’re most likely moving to Little Shelter on Monday, 12/1. While Little Shelter is a phenomenal organization, we would still love for them to find a home of their own. Please spread the word about the dynamic duo PILLSBURY AND DOUGH BOY! 🍪

This pair of 9 year old bonded Maltese boys are as sweet as their namesake. They’ve been with us for around 1.5 years. 😢

They were surrendered after their elderly mom passed away. They came to us in such good condition with beautiful white coats; it’s clear that they were their mama’s pride and joy. We hope to honor her by finding them the best home together. They are and always have been each other’s comfort and support, so we can’t split them up.

Don’t be fooled by the term “senior” with these two. These boys have energy and LOVE to play (especially Dough Boy)! They are very affectionate and love attention. Perfect for a family with or without children! We know it’s not easy to take in two dogs, but if you have the resources, space, and love in your heart we know that you won’t regret it! Look at those faces- impossible not to fall in love!

Pillsbury is on a few medications to regulate his blood pressure, Dough Boy takes a daily pill to regulate his Cushings disease, and they both take a pill for anxiety as needed. Pillsbury tore his ACL an earlier this year and goes to PT. He’s made great progress! Please feel free to ask any questions on their medical info. We’re happy to give more info or elaborate!

💛 URGENT FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED FOR MISS OMELETTE. PLEASE SHARE 💛

Our sweet Omelette came to us last month and was not here for very long before one of our vet techs fell in love and decided to foster her. Unfortunately, her foster’s living situation is unexpectedly changing and Omelette will need to find a new foster or come back to rescue by December 1.

Some of our pups at the rescue are currently dealing with some contagious illnesses that we’d rather not subject sweet Omelette to the exposure of if we can avoid. She is a very delicate little 15-year-old, 6 lbs lady, who lived her whole life in a home prior to a brief stay with us before going into foster. She is completely comfortable in a home of her own, and that’s where we prefer to keep her. Omelette gets along with anyone and everyone—adults, babies, dogs, cats, and just loves to snuggle! From her foster:

“She’s super quiet, she barks when she’s hungry or has to go outside. She’s really good at telling you when she’s needs something. She sleeps most of the day honestly especially after she eats shes goes into a food coma!! She takes her medication (levothyroxine for thyroid levels, pimobendan for her heart) so well and she eats just about anything you’d give her. She doesn’t really play but does love to run around my backyard, she gets the zoomies. She loves to cuddle she will inch up close to you every second. She must have been crate trained because when I put her in there if I can’t watch her she lays right down she’s very content being in a crate. ( I also have a crate for a Doberman so it’s big and she has room to walk around). She doesn’t love the outfit I put on her, she gets annoyed but she accepts it lol. She definitely can’t use stairs I carry her up and down mine. She’s really just an old lady, she does get cranky if you wake her up but not mean she will growl at me to leave her alone lol.”
