District 41 is participating in Rock Your Socks for World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD), March 21. On March 21st every year, District 41 staff rock funky or mismatched socks to celebrate everyone’s differences that make all who we are. Thank you to parent and Board member Jason Loebach for coordinating and donating socks to staff! As part of Rock Your Socks, sock collection bins have been placed at all of our schools. We are collecting new, unused socks that will then be donated to the People's Resource Center.

Thanks to everyone who donated new socks to this year's Rock Your Socks Drive. Because of all of your donations, we were able to contribute over 1,500 pairs of socks to People's Resource Center Clothing Closet.

A big thank you to all our partners that hosted sock collection bins for this year's drive: Village of Glen Ellyn - Government, Glen Ellyn School District 41, Glen Ellyn Park District, Glen Ellyn Public Library, State Rep. Terra Costa Howard, Chitkowski Law Offices and Faith Lutheran Church (Faith, Glen Ellyn). We couldn't do this without the help of all of our partners.

I also want to thank Natalie Martinez of NBC Chicago for her fabulous coverage of the Rock Your Sock Puppets event hosted by the Glen Ellyn Public Library. Your coverage really showed that there is nothing down and Down syndrome. I you haven't see the segment, you can view it here: https://youtu.be/wFbddyTMxrk?si=SnkXBQrO8r58Z4x9

Thanks again for all your support. We'll see you next year!!!!
