We are SO excited to see you tomorrow morning as we kick off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month together at the 12th Annual Nicholas Pedone 5K!

🌤️ The forecast is calling for the most beautiful day (thank you, Nicholas 💛)—perfect running and walking weather.

Please read through all the important details below to help make your morning smooth and stress-free:

📋 Registration

1. Pre-Registered? You should have received your bib number via text/email. Head directly to the Pre-Registration Tables (organized by number) to pick up your bib + t-shirt. Didn't receive your bib number? Look it up here before arriving → Bib Look Up https://elitefeats.com/Bibs/?ID=24656

2. Not Pre-Registered? Online registration stays open until 8:45 AM → https://events.elitefeats.com/25pedone You’ll be assigned a bib number by text/email. PLEASE REGISTER ONLINE BEFORE ARRIVING AT THE EVENT!

🚗 Parking
📍 Glen Cove High School – 150 Dosoris Lane, Glen Cove, NY 11542

- Enter through the main entrance.
- Parking attendants will direct you to a spot.
- Follow signs/volunteers to registration & bib pick-up (outside in front of the school).

🕒 Race Day Timeline
7:00 AM – 8:50 AM | Packet Pick Up / Day-of Registration (outside in front of GCHS)
8:15 AM – 8:45 AM | Children’s Fun Run (location announced at check-in)
9:00 AM – 10:15 AM | 5K Run/Walk (starting line – HS main entrance, Dosoris Lane)
10:15 AM – 11:15 AM | Post-Race Awards Ceremony (back soccer field with refreshments, snacks, raffles, and music!)

🎈 Happy 20th Birthday in Heaven, Sweet Nicholas! 💛

Today we celebrate Nicholas — his life, his legacy, and the unstoppable spirit that continues to inspire us all.

Twelve years ago, at our very first Nicholas Pedone 5K, Nicholas was in the fight of his life. He was tired, going through chemo, and rode a golf cart for most of the course. But when he saw that finish line, something shifted. He jumped off, locked eyes with his parents, and ran with everything he had.

Nicholas didn’t let cancer stop him — not then, not ever. And that moment? It became the heartbeat of this event.

As we gear up for this weekend’s 5K, let’s channel that same determination. Let’s run, walk, cheer, and show up for every child fighting cancer. Let’s be the reason they keep smiling.

Nicholas, your courage fuels our mission. Your joy lives on in every step we take. Happy 20th Birthday — we’re celebrating you with every mile.
