Glen Cove Community Garden is proud to support NOSH, a wonderful volunteer-run food pantry that helps over 500 local families experiencing food insecurity.
We really love The Community Garden who have gifted our NOSH families their own homegrown garden fresh produce since the growing season of Spring 2020 began.
It was way back when NOSH was at Glen Cove Highschool that Robert Topping found us and spread the word to this group of passionate and generous gardeners.
And they have stuck with us for 3 and a half years popping in with every kind of vegetable, herb and even flowers! Neighbors growing for neighbors is the most beautiful act of love and kindness. It means a great deal to our NOSH family because the act of intentionally and heartfully seeding and tending to the healthiest food shared is the kind of food dignity that we want everyone to feel and practice — the growers and the eaters!
Thank you to all the members of the Community Garden. You grow money as well! We are grateful for your seed money! This amazing check for $500 dollars we be put to feeding 700 beautiful families a week.
