Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality.

At Unity Bands, we recognize the importance of building stronger, more inclusive communities where every individual has the opportunity to thrive. As we reflect on the significance of this day, we also celebrate the contributions, strength, and leadership of Black communities throughout history and today.

Together, we continue working toward a future rooted in hope, unity, and opportunity for all.

👩‍⚕️ Did you know nurses walk an average of 4–5 miles during a 12-hour shift? That’s about the same as walking across an entire city during a single workday! 🚶‍♀️

From checking on patients to responding to emergencies, nurses spend most of their shift on their feet making sure others receive the care they need.

đź’¬ How many miles do you think you walk in a typical day?

19 students. 19 gift bags. 19 new opportunities.

This week, Unity Bands was honored to visit Academy of Hope in Washington, D.C., where we supported 19 Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) students through our Air Unity program.

Each student received a gift bag that included a new pair of shoes as they continue their journey toward careers in healthcare. With this event, Air Unity has now donated 78 pairs of shoes to healthcare students and workers, making this our largest class and donation to date.

Students also participated in our healthcare worker needs survey, helping us better understand the challenges facing those entering the profession. As a thank you, participants were entered into a raffle for a Kendra Scott jewelry piece.

To every future healthcare professional in these photos: thank you for choosing a career dedicated to caring for others. We are proud to support you on your journey.

Hope. Fight. Unity.

đź’° Should the bottom 50% of Americans pay ZERO federal income tax?

Jeff Bezos recently argued that Americans earning lower and middle incomes shouldn’t be paying federal income taxes at all.

His reasoning?

📊 The bottom 50% of earners contribute only a small percentage of total federal income tax revenue.

🏛️ Bezos says the bigger problem isn’t tax revenue, it’s government inefficiency and spending.

But critics were quick to respond, pointing out that Bezos himself paid little or no federal income tax in certain years despite being one of the wealthiest people in the world.

So where do you stand?

👇 Should lower and middle-class Americans pay no federal income tax, or should everyone contribute something to fund government services?

We welcome Matt from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi as our new Human Resources Chair!
“I’m excited to join Unity Bands and be part of a team dedicated to supporting healthcare workers and students in need. Having a father who works in healthcare and a brother with Crohn’s disease, this mission is especially personal to me. Volunteering has always been important because it’s a meaningful way to give back and make a real impact, even in small ways. I’m looking forward to contributing to this mission and working alongside such a passionate group to support our healthcare heroes.”

We are excited to welcome Caitie to the Unity Bands Operations Committee!

Currently a student at Cornell University, Caitie brings a strong passion for service and community impact. Her dedication to volunteering and helping others aligns perfectly with our mission to support healthcare workers and healthcare students in need.

"Volunteering has always been a core part of who I am, not something I was pushed into but something that just stuck with me from a young age. Giving back and knowing I made even a small difference has always meant a lot to me, and it's something I've carried with me throughout my life. I'm really excited to join Unity Bands to continue that mission."

Please join us in giving Caitie a warm Unity Bands welcome! đź’™

They say nursing isn’t about the money. It’s about the lives changed, the comfort given, and the people cared for every single day. 💚

At Unity Bands, we believe healthcare heroes deserve to feel supported too. Every donation helps us continue giving back to the people who spend their lives caring for others.

Help us support our healthcare heroes.

Long hours, endless dedication, and constant compassion. Nurses continue to make sacrifices every day to care for others, often without enough recognition.

We are grateful for everything healthcare workers do behind the scenes. 🩺💚
