A message from our founder.

When seconds matter, extraordinary people make all the difference.
“When I broke my leg in January, the first group of people I was taken to at shock trauma in Baltimore was in the trauma and resuscitation unit (TRU). While I was screaming and cursing in an out of body experience, these heroes stabilized the injury and helped set me on a path for success.”

Throwing it back to the Crab Feast at University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center at Kurtz’s Beach in Pasadena!
Unity Bands was honored to host a table and “band stand” at this amazing community event, connecting with supporters, sharing our mission, and spotlighting the importance of supporting healthcare heroes.

We had the opportunity to:

Heat Wave Reminder for Our Healthcare Heroes

As temperatures continue to rise, we’re thinking of the healthcare workers who don’t get to slow down. Whether they’re moving between patient rooms, responding to emergencies, or working long shifts in intense conditions, they continue showing up for their communities every day.

A few reminders during extreme heat:
💧 Stay hydrated throughout your shift
🧊 Take cooling breaks when possible
🥗 Fuel your body with nourishing food
👟 Wear supportive, comfortable footwear to reduce fatigue
🌞 Protect yourself from sun exposure before and after work
