VFW Auxiliary Post 160 Unwavering Support for Uncommon Heroes!

The objects of this organization shall be fraternal, patriotic, historical and educational; to assist the Posts and members thereof of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, and its own members whenever possible; to maintain true allegiance to the Government of the United States of America and fidelity to its Constitution and Laws; to foster true patriotism; to maintain and extend the institutions of American freedom and equal rights and justice to all men and women; and to preserve and defend the United States of America from all her enemies whomsoever.

Weekly Highlights

If anyone wants a car show shirt please ask bartenders. Still have plenty of X-large, and 2x.

Tonight is VFW/VFWA meetings at 7 with house meeting at 6.

Friday is music bingo, come join in the fun, starts at 7.

Sunday-football, come on in watch the game with us and bring a dish to share with others.

Our last Honor Flight of the season is Wednesday, October 21 we have a cook.


Saturday November 14th at 1pm - Navy vs Air Force Women's Basketball Home Opener. $7 Group tickets coming soon. Be on the look out for the special link. VFW Post 160 will be announced over the PA and on the Billboard at this Game! Come out and support your favorite team and the Future Leaders of our Military!

Maryland students: entries for Patriot’s Pen and Voice of Democracy must reach a participating VFW Post by midnight on October 31, 2026.

Patriot’s Pen | Grades 6–8
Written essay competition • National first prize: $5,000

Voice of Democracy | Grades 9–12
Audio essay competition • National first prize: $35,000 scholarship

Both competitions share this year’s theme: “What a Veteran Taught Me About America.”

Wednesday is an honor flight which will be here about 7:00. We will need people to help set up, clean up, and anything else that is needed. Set up will start at about 3:30.

Sunday-football, come on in watch the game with us and bring a dish to share with others.

Dear Team and Community Supporters,

As our Honor Flight season is here, we are looking for dedicated volunteers to help feed our nation's heroes. We urgently need volunteer cooks to help prepare meals for about 70 people on the following dates:

Wednesday, October 7 Have a cook
Wednesday, October 21 Need a cook

Whether you can commit to just one of these dates or any, your time and culinary excellenece help make these memorable missions possible for our veterans.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars' Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen audio essay entries are due October 31. This is less than ONE MONTH AWAY.

This year’s shared theme is “What a Veteran Taught Me About America.”

The VFW Voice of Democracy National first-place winner will receive a $35,000 scholarship; this contest is for students in grades 9-12. The VFW Patriot’s Pen National first-place winner will receive $5,000; this contest is for students in grades 6-8.
