Justice Clarence Thomas puts it simply: the Constitution does not grant Americans the right to keep and bear arms; it recognizes that right and restricts government from infringing on it.

This is a cautionary tale of the journey and limitations of 2A Rights. This is also reminiscent of our legal speaker last meeting that talked about the crime / risks of brandishing. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18pSJBZZkq/

One of the defining images of 2020 featured two homeowners, two fi****ms, and a confrontation that ignited a national firestorm.

Mark and Patricia McCloskey were photographed pointing fi****ms at a group of BLM protesters walking through their private gated neighborhood.

Now, six years later, the couple is speaking out after regaining possession of the AR-15 r***e that was seized following the incident.

Looking back, Mark McCloskey said the years-long legal battle reinforced the importance of never giving up:

"It teaches the benefit of perseverance. It took me 1,847 days, three lawsuits and two trips to the Court of Appeals to get my r***e back."

"It has given us a voice that we would not otherwise have. I still speak around the country on constitutional rights in the First Amendment and the Second Amendment."
