Jeannine Panzera, Executive Director of Henrico CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), shared the nonprofit's mission at our September meeting. They train and supervise volunteer advocates who represent the needs of abused and neglected children in the courtroom, child welfare system, and beyond.

Our annual Charity Bowling Tournament was held on Saturday, Sept. 19, and was very successful! Thanks to everyone who participated. All proceeds go to FeedMore.

At our August meeting we learned about Circle Center Adult Day Services, a 50-year-old nonprofit in Richmond dedicated to the well-being of older adults and their caregivers. Ellen Thornhill, Sr. Director of Philanthropy and Communications, shared information about the center, which provides a compassionate, enriching, and safe place for older adults during weekdays, while supporting and giving respite time to caregivers.

In commemoration of the country's 250th Birthday, the club enjoyed an excellent presentation at our July meeting given by Stephen Wilson, Executive Director of the St. John's Church Foundation.

Club members attended the Chesapeake District Ruritan Picnic on Sunday.

We have a special presentation for our program at our July 28 meeting, and we welcome anyone who would like to attend. We meet in their banquet room, and dinner is ordered Dutch Treat from Kitchen 33's expansive menu. www.shortpumpruritan.org
