Hey friends! 🌊💪

A big shoutout to everyone who came out for our last river cleanup on 9/20 — the weather was perfect, we met a new river friend , and we pulled plenty of trash and plastic from the Chickahominy River and the local artwork was impressive 💥 You can read the full story in the October issue of the Virginia Times & Retro, out tomorrow at VirginiaTimes.org.

Hey everyone, just an update on tomorrow...We have changed the plan and are meeting at The French Hay, 1440 Big Rock Farm Dr., 23059, at 9:30a.m. We should be able to get downriver since this monster dam has been removed! All are welcome! We hope to see you there!

Hey friends! 🌊♻️
Join us next Saturday, the 16th, from 10 AM to 3 PM at Bethel Beach Nature Preserve in beautiful Mathews, Virginia. Let’s work together to get plastic off the beach and out of the canals.

We’ll have plenty of trash bags, grabbers, gloves — and even a few extra kayaks for those who want to help from the water. 🛶

This wildlife refuge is a truly special place that needs our protection.

Hey Friends, we have to postpone the cleanup, with the crazy weather, flash flood warnings, and the recent sewer spill, we will be postponing until conditions are favorable. We will keep you updated. Please stay safe. Can't wait till we can enjoy a day like the one in the picture!

Hey friends!
We’re excited about the upcoming river cleanup on July 19th—but just a heads-up, the water was very high and swift today, so we’ll keep you posted as the date gets closer.
Also… fun fact:
A few months ago, we somehow started a free newspaper. 😂
We packed it with Kitchen33’s menu, some awesome stories from 100 years ago, and a bunch of cool stuff about A.R.R. and our mission—then totally forgot to tell anyone.
It’s actually a pretty good read!

Many, many thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who showed up for our Clean the Bay Day on the Chick. Perfect weather, and perfect food. A special thank you to Mario's Pizza & Kitchen33 for feeding us. Still have 13 more tires to dig out, but at least we know where they are. Please join us on our next cleanup, June 21st.

Happy Friday, we're sorry to say the Chickahominy is too flooded to have a cleanup tomorrow, so we're moving it to next Saturday June 7, which falls on this year's annual Clean the Bay Day. All are welcome, plan on starting around 9a.m. We'll stay in touch, and thank you.
