Dear Friends of Grace,
Well...it's official. We have closed the foundation down and established a mechanism for those who wish to continue supporting kids in treatment. All GOCF funds have been transferred to two new funds at Boston Childrens Hospital.
First, for those who wish to continue to support research, we established a fund that helps Dr. Roberto Chiarle with his neuroblastoma research. Information about Dr. Chiarle's research can be found here: http://chiarle.tch.harvard.edu. Donations to the research fund, as well as updates about progress toward the $100,000 goal, can be accessed with this link: http://fundraise.childrenshospital.org/goto/GraceOughtonNeuroblastoma
If we reach the $100,000 goal in three years, the fund will become permanent and will be named for Grace.
The second fund supports the child life programs on the Bone Marrow Transplant and Oncology floors at Boston Childrens. This is an ongoing fundraiser that will renew annually. Grace LOVED the child life programs and the amazing people who ran them. They brought a sense of joy and normalcy to the treatment process. They allowed kids to be kids. Donations to the child life program fund can be made by following this link: http://fundraise.childrenshospital.org/goto/GraceOughtonChildLife
If you have any issues with the links, please send us a message or troubleshoot through the Childrens Hospital site. We will continue to keep this page active.
Thank you to all who have supported Grace, our family, and our ongoing efforts to support kids with cancer and their families.
Lots of love,
Alec and Crystal
