Mark your calendars! If you're looking for something to do next weekend, the Shenandoah National Park will offer FREE admission again July 3-5 (Friday through Sunday) as part of the Independence Day celebration and America's 250th birthday.

If you've been considering taking a drive on Skyline Drive or hitting the trails, this is a great opportunity to go. With very hot weather expected next week, the higher elevations can also provide a nice escape from the heat.

Regular admission is $30 per vehicle so taking advantage of these free entrance days can save you a little money while enjoying some of the country's most beautiful locations.

Today, we commemorate Juneteenth, a day that marks the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality for all.

As Scouts, we are called to be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, and brave. We learn that every person deserves dignity and respect, and that each of us has a role to play in building stronger, more inclusive communities.

As the sun sets and the Islamic New Year begins, we extend our warmest wishes to our Muslim Scouts, leaders, families, and friends observing 1 Muharram 1448 AH.

The Scout Law reminds us that A Scout is Reverent; respectful of their own beliefs and those of others. Today, we celebrate the rich diversity of our Scouting family and honor those marking this sacred occasion with prayers for peace, reflection, and renewed purpose in the year ahead.
