As you consider your Giving Tuesday contributions, did you know the following facts about Cuatro Puntos?
We have entirely volunteer leadership and staff.
All of the silenced, persecuted & underrepresented performers & composers we work with are paid professional rates for their work.
We are in the middle of our 14th season.
We have worked with musicians from Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkey, Israel, Palestine, Kurdistan, Egypt, Iran, Bolivia, as well as musicians representing underrepresented groups in the USA.
We have produced over 150 free concerts in Connecticut.
We have produced 12 albums, released internationally, on 4 major labels, all amplifying silenced composers, performers, or both.
Some of our music has reached the top 5% of most played tracks on Spotify. Our music gets the most streams in Turkey and the USA.
Our work has been extensively recognized by the BBC, NPR, Fanfare Magazine, and many other publications.
You can watch the full performance of our most recent concert, Symphony of Resilience: The Afghan Orchestra Unsilenced on our website.
Cuatro Puntos has an entirely volunteer leadership and staff. Every dollar goes directly toward projects that amplify silenced, persecuted and underrepresented musicians. Because we respect every underrepresented musician we work with as a complete professional artist, the majority of our budget goes directly to paying musicians for performances, composition commissions, and recording projects. We are in the middle of our 14th season. You may see a chronology of our most impactful projects on our website- including a full online presentation of our most recent project: Symphony of Resilience - The Afghan Orchestra Unsilenced at The Bushnell in Hartford. We are not slowing down anytime soon, and have several of our most impactful projects to date currently in production as we amplify musicians from Afghanistan and Ukraine. Every dollar goes very far in a non profit with volunteer leadership and staff. Please consider us on this Giving Tuesday!
