Behind closed doors, even in small towns, there are stories being lived that nobody sees.
Right here in Glasgow, Kentucky, and throughout Barren County, there are individuals and families silently struggling with domestic violence.
Domestic violence isn't always a black eye or a broken bone. Sometimes it's the constant criticism, the fear of saying the wrong thing, the manipulation, the isolation, or the feeling of walking on eggshells in your own home.
Sometimes the deepest bruises are the ones nobody can see.
And sometimes the hardest part isn't leaving. It's loving someone who continues to hurt you.
At Community Partners for Recovery (CPR), we understand that trauma, mental health, substance use, and unhealthy relationship patterns can intersect. But one thing must always remain clear: Addiction does not excuse abuse, and love should never require someone to sacrifice their safety or self worth.
We also recognize that leaving isn't always simple. There may be children involved, financial struggles, fear, shame, or genuine love for the person causing harm.
So instead of asking, "Why don't they just leave?"
Let's start asking, "How can we help them feel safe, supported, and empowered?"
To our neighbors in Glasgow, Barren County, and surrounding communities: You are not alone. You deserve peace. You deserve respect. You deserve a life where love doesn't come with fear.
Recovery is about more than overcoming addiction. It's about healing, breaking cycles, rebuilding lives, and discovering that a different future is possible.

At Community Partners for Recovery, we believe that no one should have to carry their pain alone.
When a family is struggling, our hearts go out to every person affected. Recovery is about more than overcoming struggles. It’s about showing up for one another, offering compassion, and reminding each other that even in the hardest moments, we are not alone.

Today, we are holding one of our own and their family close in our hearts. We ask for grace, compassion, and understanding as they navigate a difficult time. Sometimes the greatest support we can offer is simply love, prayer, and the reminder that we are here.

At CPR, we are more than a community. We are family. And when one of us hurts, we all feel it.

💜 Building Connections, Creating Hope, and Opening Doors to Recovery!
Today, our Executive Director had the pleasure of meeting with Jennifer Cooksey the intake coordinator of Women Finding Freedom Through Recovery in Russell Springs, Kentucky!
We are excited to share that beds are currently available at their 28-day inpatient treatment facility for women seeking freedom from addiction and a fresh start in life.
Their program focuses on empowering women through compassionate treatment, individualized care, relapse prevention, life skills, and the support needed to begin building a brighter future.
At Community Partners for Recovery, we believe that recovery is possible for everyone, and building relationships with other recovery organizations helps us connect individuals with the resources and treatment opportunities they need.
If you or a woman you know is struggling with addiction, please know that help is available, hope is real, and you do not have to walk this journey alone.

Dale helped so many others by giving freely what was given to him. Please keep Lisa Gal, his family, and all who loved him in your prayers as they navigate this difficult time.
