Tuesday night we had our annual Hog Roast! We had a delicious locally grown meal, live music, engine demonstrations and some words from Commissioner Jonathan Shell! Community members and families also got to tour our brand new ag hall and facilities!

A special thanks to Sustainable Glasgow for partnering with us for this event, as well as BCHS Choir, Culinary and BC high school and middle school FFA members who volunteered!

Fall Ag Ed week was a huge success! 🌾

FFA members visited with local elementary schools and worked with local farmers, ag business owners, and other local agriculture groups to teach kids the importance of agriculture!! Through interactive petting zoos, farm machinery, and agriculture lessons from FFA members, we were able to provide hands on learning experiences for all!

The Farm to Cafe meal was also delicious and many of our students and local farms’ food was on the menu!

Congratulations to these members for representing our chapter and the state of Kentucky at the National Youth Cattle Working Contest this week. We are proud of all the hard work put into earning the title of reserve national champions! Your practical, real world skills were put to the test and you represent the next generation of leaders in the beef industry!

Last Friday we had our September FFA meeting!! We started the year off strong with plans for the year and recapping past and upcoming events.
