This week we had a couple of Serve 309 groups and a group from Highland Hills come volunteer. The did everything from cleaning to organizing. The first group not only watched the grandbabies so I could work, but they figured out which smoke detector was beeping and took care of it before it made me crazier!
Our windows have been washed, porch pressure washed, paperwork sorted through, shoe bins retagged, shoe strings organized, lots of clothes hung, many of our winter items separated by size for storage, bulk un**es repackaged, lots of work done in our storage building, unusable items hauled off, some of the teen girls went through all of our adult sizes, pulled out items they didn’t think teens would wear and restocked the racks with items teens would be happier with, and so much more!
The best I can figure they gave us about 200 hours of work!
There is no way to express how grateful we are for their hard work!

We need to find a new home for this queen size bed. We don’t keep anything larger than a full due to space limitations.
This bed is available first to a family who qualifies for services with us.  If none of our families are interested, we’ll open it up for anyone.

We have basic pegboard on the ends of our clothes racks. This is where we hang socks and underwear. Many of the holes are busted where people have run into them or not been gentle. I need something sturdier. What kinds of suggestions do y’all have?

Someone is donating a crib to us. I need someone with a pick up truck to go pick it up or someone to go with me and help me take it apart so I can put it in the back of my Yukon. If you can help, please let me know.

You have no idea how fast these are going to be gone!
These are the kind of things most people don’t think of.
Many medications make your mouth very dry, which makes your lips dry. A lot of kids just have a nervous habit of licking or picking their lips.
When we have lip balm here it doesn’t last long.
