Valley County Search and Rescue conducted training operations today, with 7 members participating. The team utilized the command trailer and airboat, providing valuable experience for new members.

Valley County Search and Rescue responded to an emergency call at 4:00 pm concerning individuals stranded on Fort Peck Lake who were unable to return to shore. Our team mobilized eight personnel and deployed the airboat, with three crew members aboard and five remaining on standby on land. Local individuals with side-by-sides assisted in rescuing others stranded on a floating ice that had made it to shore. We appreciate the assistance provided in this successful rescue operation and express gratitude for the safe outcome. As a precautionary reminder, we advise exercising caution due to prevailing weather and ice conditions over the next couple of months. Please prioritize your safety during these adverse weather conditions.

It was a quieter than normal New Year’s Eve for downtown. We would again like to extend our gratitude to the DUI Task Force for their donation to Valley County Search and Rescue. We truly appreciate those who utilized the service provided to you each New Year’s Eve! We would also like to express our appreciation to our volunteers. They consistently exceed expectations!

We are pleased to announce that we will be providing transportation services on New Year's Eve. To arrange for a ride, please contact one of our designated drivers. We will transport you downtown, eliminating the need to drive yourself. Our vehicles are warm and comfortable. We encourage you to take advantage of this community service. We extend our gratitude to our members who have generously offered their time and vehicles. Additionally, we would like to thank the DUI Task Force for their donation of $1,000 to Valley County Search and Rescue.

We provided support for the Polar Plunge event in downtown Glasgow. Despite the cold weather, the turnout was impressive. We would like to extend our appreciation to our volunteers who contributed to the event's success. Bryce Lawerence ensured the trailer was safely transported and maintained a warm environment for our volunteers. Caleb Lawerence and Dustin Brunelle in the Gumby suits. We value our members' dedication to volunteering.

We wish everyone a wonderful and safe New Year. Although we experienced a slower year, we appreciate the patrons who utilized our services. We are grateful for the 99 individuals who made responsible choices and utilized our transportation. Randy had 22, Shyanne 41, Jeron 21, and Chris 15. We look forward to serving you next New Year's Eve.

We encourage you to take advantage of the transportation services being offered at no cost to you. Our volunteers will provide courteous pickup from your residence and transport you to any destination of your choice, including the next establishment. Our vehicles will be fully operational and warm. We kindly request that you refrain from driving. The Valley County Search and Rescue Command Trailer made an appearance in the parade of lights tonight. We appreciate the efforts of our volunteers who assisted with the trailer and polar plunge today.
