Today, Friday June 12, is the solemnity of The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in the Catholic Church.
Yesterday the Bishops of the United Sates Consecrated the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Here is the Prayer:
O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus:
You know the longings of our hearts, and you desire that we enjoy friendship with you. From your pierced side, you have poured out the wellspring of life, for which we thirst.
Your heart burns with a love for all people to return to a right relationship with you. We celebrate the abundant gifts you have given this nation, founded on the self-evident truths that our Creator has endowed all people with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
We make reparation for the offenses against you and against human dignity that have taken place in this nation. May our hearts be united to yours, so that our families and communities enjoy peace and happiness; may broken relationships be reconciled, injustices repaired, and the wounds of our land be healed. May your holy Catholic Church serve as a sign, pointing all people to your infinite love.
O Desire of Nations and Center of History, we ask you to bless these United States of America.
Who live and reign with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!

Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make our hearts more like yours...

May CKC point all people to your infinite love.
Make CHRIST the CENTER of your LIFE!

May 30th Gospel of Mark 11:27-12:12
The Scribes, Priests, and elders go to Jesus trying to trap him by asking him who gives him authority to do what he is doing. "Jesus said to them 'I will ask you a question, only one; answer me and I will tell you my authority for acting like this. John's baptism: did it come from heaven, or from man'? .....So their reply to Jesus was, 'We don't know.'".... "Nor will I tell you my authority for acting like this."
Then Jesus speaks to them a parable of the man who planted a vineyard, put a wall around it, leased it to tenants, and then went abroad. When the time came he sends a servant to collect his share. We know the story, how they beat and or killed all his servants that he sends. "He sends his Beloved Son. They will respect my son he said.".....In he end "they realized that the parable was aimed at them."

Better Part # 131 Fr.John Bartunek
CHRIST THE LORD "They recognized the subtle lesson Jesus wanted to teach them: he really is the Messiah; it's not too late to accept him. In fact, it was the perfect chance for them to do so, using the occasion as an opportunity to admit that they had never thought about it that way before, thus saving face in the eyes of the crowd. And yet, they still refuse.

CHRIST THE TEACHER "His many confrontations with his enemies make it clear that these men freely chose not to believe in Jesus, because they wanted to cling to their own ideas and way of life, which Jesus' doctrine denounced."

CHRIST THE FRIEND "The Catechism teaches us that "at every time and in every place God draws close to man" (CCC). He is always reaching out to each one of us.....He offers his grace over and over again, sometimes through invitations, and nudges of conscience, other times through suffering and tragedy and interior restlessness. Over and over again Jesus reaches out with his offer of friendship, a friendship that can fill our hearts like no other, a friendship that will only grow brighter, deeper, and more joyful the closer we come to eternity. But, just like in the parable, he will never force us to accept that offer.

"In God's name let us go on bravely." St. Joan of Arc

Gospel JN 21: 20-25
"Peter turned and saw the disciple Jesus loved following them ... Seeing him, Peter said to Jesus, 'What about him, Lord?' Jesus answered, 'If I want him to stay behind till I come, what does it matter to you? You are to follow me.'".......

Better Part # 303 Fr. John Bartunek
CHRST THE LORD "One of our most frequent and intense temptation is to try and control other peoples lives. Like Peter in his relationship with John, we often let our laudable affection and interest in others override our humility. We cannot control other people's lives. Only Christ is Lord; only Christ governs hearts. The only heart we can govern is our own. Our task in life is to gradually train our own wild, rebellious hearts to turn freely and fruitfully under the guidance of the Lord. That is more than enough to keep us busy. When it comes to other people, the most we can do is love them - but even that may not change them." ..................
By releasing this illusion of control, we find greater interior peace,....... because it shows that we trust him with what matters most - the ones we love.

Keep these words of Jesus on your screen saver. "If I want him to stay behind till I come, what does it matter to you? You are to follow me."

Gospel John 16: 16-33 We have been on this Gospel for 3 days and again will hear from it on Monday 5/18. Well worth reading 4 times over, to get every nugget.
Verse 32, 33....."I am not alone, because the Father is with me. I have told you all of this so that you may find peace in me. In the world you will have trouble, but be brave: I have conquered the world."

Better Part # 289 Fr. John Bartunek
CHRIST THE FRIEND "Mary: 'I am not alone'.... Jesus could say that, because he was always united to his Father through prayer and obedience. But he also wants you to be able to say that. He never wants you to have to feel the angst of loneliness, of not being known and loved by someone close at hand. Hell is eternal, unrelieved loneliness, because in hell there is no love. But you are never alone. He dwells in your heart, and he is always speaking with you, guiding you and loving you. He has given you his presence in the Eucharist and his grace in all the other sacraments. He has extended his Incarnation through the living Church. He sends you the messengers of creation and art and beauty of every sort as gifts and reminders that that he is always thinking of you and looking forward to welcoming you home to heaven. He has given you the Bible, the saints, and your vocation to spur you on to know and love him more and more. He even gave you me, his own Mother, so I can watch over you as closely as I watched over him. He wants to bring you life; he wants to bring you joy. Truly you can say, even when everyone else abandons you as everyone abandoned him, 'I am not alone.'"

We are not alone and he has given us much. Oh, that we may be able to give back to him Christ the King Center. WHY GO ON A RETREAT? TO GIVE YOUR SOUL A GIFT
Rosary path is open everyday. Come and Pray!

14 Stations of the Eucharist: Fr. Jonathon Meyer
The traditional 14 Stations of the Cross have been a stronghold in Catholic Culture. The devotion, begun by St. Francis of Assisi, allows the Christian to walk through the streets of Jerusalem, stopping along the way for 14 meditations on the Passion of our Lord. Similarly, these 14 Stations of the Eucharist walk us through the Bible and show references that support the doctrine of the Eucharist in Sacred Scripture and our 2,000-year Tradition.

The First Station ~ The Sacrifice of Abel
Leader~ O Sacrament most Holy, O Sacrament Divine
Response~ All praise and all thanksgiving, be every moment Thine.

In the opening book of the Bible, we hear about Adam and Eve’s children, “Abel became a herder of flocks, and Cain a tiller of the ground. In the course of time Cain brought an offering to the LORD from the fruit of the ground, while Abel, for his part, brought the fatty portion of the firstlings of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor” (Genesis 4: 2-5).
Abel offered a just sacrifice, a costly and worthy sacrifice- a Lamb. The first lamb ever sacrificed prefigured the Passover lamb to come, the countless lambs sacrificed in the temple and ultimately of Jesus the perfect Lamb of God who invites us to eat His Flesh and Blood.

Let us pray~ Lord God, as Abel offered You the first sacrifice, a just sacrifice, a Lamb, please help me to give You a worthy gift; the gift of my life. Every time I approach the sacred altar, help me to realize that You are the perfect Lamb being offered and that Your offering is living and true. Give me the grace to unite my heart to Yours in this perfect act of praise. Amen.

God willing that one day this Station of the Eucharist may be portrayed on the property of CtKC

Gospel today Jn 15: 1-8 " Whoever remains in me, with me in him, bears fruit in plenty; for cut off from me you can do nothing."

Better Part # 285 Fr. John Bartunek
CHRIST THE FRIEND "Christ goes on to tell us how to "Remain in me"... How much we need to learn how to pray and make this the center of our lives! Christ's constant refrain from the moment of his incarnation: Come to me, learn from me, follow me..... My heart yearns for you to make my friendship the highest value of your life, so that I can fill you with true peace, meaning, and joy - the kind that you long for but can never achieve on your own. The saraments, the Church, prayer, the Bible - these are all extensions of my effort to stay intimately united with you, to guide you along the path of everlasting life, and to reveal to you the glories of my love. These were my final words before I went to death on the cross, my last lesson, and I really mean them: remain in me; stay close to me; do not forsake me; trust in me."

He came! He died! He remains in our churches in the Eucharist! He waits for Us to draw close, to make Him first above all else! Come Holy Spirit, Come!

Today, the Church celebrates St. Joseph the Worker. A special day for CKC. Praying to St. Joseph led us to buying this property, even though it was not for sale, and little did we know what God had in store for it. It is to be St. Joseph's workshop where many will take the next step in their journey closer to Christ and become the saints we are called to be.

Todays Gospel" John 14: 1-6 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God still, and trust in me."........... Jesus said: "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to the Father except through me."

Better Part # 282 Fr. John Bartunek
CHRIST THE FRIEND "Mary: My child, Jesus tells you. "Do not let your hearts be troubled.... Trust in me..." If he tells you that, it means that it is possible for you to live in his peace. He does not say that troubling things won't happen - they will. But in him, if you exercise your trust in him, you can keep your heart in peace, like a little child in its mother's arms. He always holds you in his sure embrace. When troubles come, bring your heart back to the sure knowledge of his love and his wise providence. It is a mark of all true followers of Christ that they have learned to be steady in the storm; they have learned to rejoice in the depths of their souls even in the midst of tears. He is worthy of your trust."

Reminders:
Seven Sorrows of Mary Rosary on Tuesday May 5 and 19 at 6:15pm at St. John's Catholic Church in Glandorf OH. Please join them in church as they pray for CKC.

K of C will be praying the Rosary May 11, 2nd Monday of the month around the Rosary Path.

WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP IN YOUR FAITH JOURNEY? THE NEXT STEP!
Christ the King Center exists to inspire us, our families, and communities to become Saints by making Christ the Center of our Lives.
Below are quotes from Saints to ponder, challenge, inspire and help us take the NEXT STEP in our journey to God.

"A Holy Hour of Eucharistic Adoration is a sharing in the work of Redemption." - Venerable Fulton J. Sheen

"Fix your minds on the passion of our Lord Jesus Christ. Inflamed with love for us, He came down from heaven to redeem us. For our sake He endured every torment of body and soul and shrank from no bodily pain. He Himself gave us an example of perfect patience and love. We, then, are to be patient in adversity." - Saint Francis of Paola

"Let your chief study be the Sacred Scriptures, that it may be the guiding rule of your life". -Saint John Baptist de La Salle

"If we but paused for a moment to consider attentively what takes place in this Sacrament, I am sure that the thought of Christ's love for us would transform the coldness of our hearts into a fire of love and gratitude." - St. Angela of Foligno

Today in the Gospel of John 10: 11-18 Jesus tells us "I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd is one who lays down his life for his sheep." Get out your bibles and read the Gospel for today. Go to adoration and thank HIM for laying HIS life down for us and say a prayer for CKC.

Missed the 14 Stations of the Eucharist on Monday and would like to see it, email [email protected] for another showing time.

John 6: 28-35 "What must we do if we are to do the works of God'...... 'This is working for God: you must believe in the one he has sent.' So they said, 'What sign will you give to show us that we should believe in you? What work will you do? Our fathers had manna to eat in the desert; as scripture says: He gave them bread from heaven to eat.' Jesus answered: 'I tell you most solemnly, it was not Moses who gave you bread from heaven, it is my Father who gives you the bread from heaven, the true bread; for the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.' 'Sir', they said 'give us that bread always.' Jesus answered: 'I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never be hungry; he who believes in me will never thirst.'

Better Part # 256 Fr. John Bartunek
CHRIST THE FRIEND Jesus: Your heart is restless, I know. That's good. You want more out of your life: I do too. I am what you're looking for. Know me better; listen to me; trust me more. Why do you keep trying to be a saint on your own? Your efforts can do nothing alone. I am not asking you to go off and become perfect and then come back to me so I can let you into my Kingdom. My Kingdom is not something you get into by submitting a resume, as if you were applying for a job. My Kingdom is my family. You don't have to earn my love; I love you already. You only have to trust me, lean on me, and follow me. Why else would I give my own life to be your food? Be at peace, I am with you.

Christ the King Center exist to help us become Saints by making Christ the center of our lives.

St. Rita Rosary Path is open daily.
K of C comes to pray the rosary the 2nd Monday of every month.
Medjugorje group prays Mary's 7 Sorrows Rosary at St. John's church in Glandorf the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month.
