Foam swords were flying, relays were intense, and the energy was 🔥—just another night at Club!

Between the games, the food, and all the laughs, we got to hear an incredible message from John 8:2–10—when we deserve judgment, Jesus offers grace. He’s not looking to shame us, but to bring us back, to restore and renew. That’s the kind of love we all need.

There’s something pretty special about watching kids show up to serve 💪.

Last week, a group of our Young Life students spent time picking up rocks at a friend’s property—and somehow turned it into a whole lot of laughs, great conversations, and the kind of memories that stick. What might seem like a small thing became something bigger: time together, side by side, with purpose.

We’re so thankful for the people who invite us into their lives like this. It’s never just about the work—it’s about relationships.

And at the heart of it all, this is why we do it: we serve because He first served us.

Grateful for these moments. Grateful for these kids.

Still smiling thinking about Thursday night. 🌮💛

The Gladwin Young Life Banquet was full of joy from start to finish—great food, lots of laughter, and a room full of people who care deeply about teenagers in this community. The taco bar was fabulous, but even better was hearing students share pieces of their stories and how Young Life has been showing up in their lives.
Things got loud (in the best way) during Wild, Wild Taco—who knew a table game could bring that much intensity? 😂

Andy closed the night by pointing us to something deeper—how even in a world that feels messy and uncertain for so many teens, there is real peace to be found. And Young Life gets to be a small part of helping students experience that.

We are incredibly grateful. To everyone who gave showed up, who gave financially, who signed up to bring food to club, who served behind the scenes—thank you. Truly. We are overwhelmed by the response and support.
God is moving in Gladwin. We’ve been praying… and He is answering. 🙏

Wild Wild Taco 🌮🤠 + PB&J 🥜🍇

We had a great night at Club this week, filled with some good laughs and a much-needed message.

The Games: We got some practice in for Wild Wild Taco—consider it a warm-up for our Banquet next Thursday, March 26th! 🌮 Between that and trying (and mostly failing) to stay off-camera during "Don't Get Caught," it was a night to remember. 📸

The Message: Andy Earls shared from Proverbs 18:21 using a PB&J illustration. If you’ve ever tried to make a simple sandwich while everyone in the room is shouting different instructions, you know how quickly it becomes a mess. 🥪

The Takeaway: It was a perfect picture of how confusing it can be to follow the many voices of the world. We talked about the power of the words we choose and how leaders are here to help point us clearly toward the voice of Jesus.

Spring Break Note: ☀️ After the Banquet on the 26th, we’ll be on break —back in action on April 16th.

22 kids. Lots of laughs. And a whole lot of toilet paper. 🧻😂

Last night’s Club was our biggest one yet this year! We wrapped willing participants into toilet paper mummies, launched marshmallows across the room, and somehow kept the chaos under control.

Andy E. shared from Matthew 4:18–22 about Jesus calling His first disciples and the simple but powerful invitation: “Come, follow me.” Being a disciple means saying yes to that call—and being willing to share it with others too.

So thankful for every student who showed up and made it such a fun night. 22 kids in the room and we’re just getting started. 🙌

Why do our leaders keep showing up week after week?

Because teenagers in Gladwin matter.

They deserve adults who see them, laugh with them, pray for them, and remind them they are deeply known and loved.

We’re so blessed by every leader who gives their whole heart - even those not pictured!

Grateful for Andy stepping into the volunteer Team Lead role — his steady “yes” is making a real difference.

And deeply thankful for the years Star has faithfully led us, and that she’ll continue pouring into the lives of these kids.

Because of leaders like these, no kid has to feel alone. 💛

What a night at Club! 🙌✨

We laughed our way through Would You Rather and got a little competitive with Pictionary—the creativity (and questionable drawing skills 😅) were next level. Huge thanks to our friends from Eagle Ridge Church of God in Beaverton for bringing an incredible sandwich spread… it did not disappoint!

But more than the games and the food, what mattered most was the message.

Star shared from Hebrews 13:5 and Deuteronomy 4:31—reminding us that God promises He will never leave us or forsake us. In a world where so many teenagers wonder if they’re seen, valued, or wanted, that truth hits deep.

And the wall. It's not just decoration—it’s our heartbeat.

We want every student who walks through those doors to know:
You are not alone.
You are not forgotten.
You are not too much or not enough.
You belong here.

Because the God who never leaves us is the same God who calls each of these kids His own. And we are so grateful to create a space where they can experience that kind of belonging. 💛

Okayyy Gladwin, this was a GOOD one 🙌🎈

Last night at Young Life Club we brought the energy (and the balloons). We played Catch the Balloon and took on the Balloon Cup Challenge — and let’s just say… chaos + teamwork = the perfect combo. Watching everyone laugh, compete, and actually cheer each other on? That’s the good stuff.

Andy Earls brought the club talk and walked us through Luke 11:1–4, where Jesus teaches His disciples how to pray. We looked at the simple, powerful template Jesus gave us — not fancy words, not perfect phrases — just real connection with God. It was such a solid reminder that prayer doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s about relationship.

We love watching this group lean in, laugh hard, and have meaningful conversations all in the same night. That’s what Club is all about.

We love this crew. See you in 2 weeks 💛
