Nine Pathfinder teams gathered on February 14th for an inspiring Oregon Conference level of the Pathfinder Bible Experience, diving deep into the book of Isaiah. The event showcased months of study, teamwork, and dedication as youth demonstrated not only their knowledge but their passion for Scripture.

Congratulations to all teams. After an impressive showing from all teams, four teams from Albany and Whipple Creek earned top scores and will advance to the NPUC level on March 7. Their achievement reflects countless hours of preparation and the strong support of leaders, parents, and church communities who have encouraged them every step of the way.

The celebration continues as these advancing teams prepare for the next stage of competition. Their success is a testament to the strength of Pathfinder ministry and the joy that comes from young people engaging meaningfully with God’s Word.

2026 Big Lake Snow Experience, Jan 30 to Feb 1

Winter Camp at Big Lake was a super fun Pathfinder event that mixed adventure and faith really well. We got to spend time outside snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, which was a great way to enjoy the snow and hang out with friends. At night, everyone came together for worship with the praise team leading music and Pastor Jason giving meaningful talks that were really encouraging. Overall, the mix of outdoor activities and worship made Winter Camp this year a very memorable experience.

The Pathfinders had a fantastic time at Big Lake Youth Camp even though the amount of snow on the ground was not at its usual cabin-burying levels. They enjoyed rousing worship songs led by the Tualatin Valley Club, inspiring messages by Pastor Jason Calvert on “Expecting the Unexpected”, snowball fights, igloo and fort building, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, playing fun games, and an unexpected and surprised round of night tubing after not being able to tube during the day due to low snow levels on the tubing hill. They also enjoyed making smores and shopping in the Big Lake Store. Thank you to all who made this weekend possible. The level of snow could not compete with level of fun and friendship enjoyed by all! What a blessing it was!

The Teen Leadership Training (TLT) Convention was a weekend full of leadership and spiritual
growth. The activities provided lasting impressions on the attending 45 teens, their mentors, and
many other pathfinder adults. The talks provided biblical and leadership education
We talked with our mentors, who help guide us through the TLT program, about our different
classes and how we are going to complete them. We had worships where we learned about The
DISC assessment and how we are Made For More, and a few teens led out in the song
services.
In our classes, we learned about how to manage rowdy kids, teach honors, plan events, and
keep records. On Saturday morning two teens, Kayden and Jeshua, graduated from the
program and were inducted as master TLTs, and 17 new TLTs were inducted. On Saturday night
a few teens and adults went to the beach to sit by a fire, stargaze, and talk. Meanwhile the new
TLTs learned about night watch and security.
In closing, the TLT weekend was an opportunity to grow our relationship with God, to learn more
about how to be an awesome leader, and to grow our friendships. But the most important thing
learned this weekend was that Powerful Potential isn’t always publicly perceived and labels can lie.

🌲 Oregon Pathfinder Camporee Inspires Youth with “Made for More” Theme

Jasper, OR — Over 300 Pathfinders and staff gathered in Jasper, Oregon, for a spirited weekend of worship, service, and adventure at the Oregon Pathfinder Camporee. Held under the theme “Made for More,” the event brought together young people from across the region to explore faith, community, and purpose.

The weekend kicked off with dynamic worship sessions led by Jason Calvert, whose messages challenged attendees to embrace their calling and live with intention. His engaging style and heartfelt storytelling set the tone for a weekend filled with growth and connection.

Saturday offered Pathfinders the chance to earn honors or embark on scenic hikes through the lush Oregon landscape. Whether learning new skills or soaking in nature’s beauty, participants embraced the spirit of discovery.

Sunday was dedicated to service and play. Volunteers rolled up their sleeves to clean a local orchard, maintain trails, and help tidy up camp facilities—demonstrating the Pathfinder commitment to stewardship and community care.

After the hard work, campers enjoyed a variety of fun activities including Gaga ball, water ball, musical rope, stilts, and more. Despite a surprise thunderstorm and the absence of traditional campfires, spirits remained high as laughter and teamwork filled the campgrounds.

The Oregon Pathfinder Camporee proved once again that even with a little rain, a lot of heart can shine through. As the theme reminded everyone: we are truly Made for More.
