What a great first day at LWA! The kids took a field trip to the lighthouse on Stonington Peninsula to see if there were any monarchs. Only saw a few of them, but had a great hike with some fun experiences!

Friends, you will notice some changes on our page this year. After a visit by Michigan State Police last spring, we cut back on posting pictures of the kids and will probably not show many (if any) faces this year. Honestly, it pains us not to show the beautiful light of God that shines through these little faces, but safety is more important. We'll still share what the children are experiencing. We have some incredible opportunities coming up that we can't wait to tell you about!

A HUGE THANK YOU to McRae's Home Improvements / MHI for their leadership and support of the academy and our students. We could not have done this without their huge heart and passion for the work we are doing together. It says a lot when a business is willing to invest in its community in big ways. Friends, you did it! We made it to the goal and even a bit above! We were able to provide scholarships to four new students. We thank God for His enduring faithfulness and we thank all of you for your love for the Lord that brings you to give to His work. We have some more individual thanks to give, but wanted to give an overall update on the scholarship drive and the students you blessed. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

What beautiful encouragement when good people believe in the mission of the academy so much that they take it upon themselves to create a fundraising sale on our behalf!
