Why Does God Tell Christians to Gather Together?

God doesn’t call us to gather because He needs something from us.

We gather because we need each other.

God designed the Church as a place where we are built up, encouraged, strengthened, and reminded that we belong to something bigger than ourselves.

We come together to worship a God we’re all about—while discovering just how much He is for us.

Come As You Are—Just Don’t Stay There

You should be welcomed into church exactly where you are. But the goal was never to stay there.

The Body of Christ is meant to help us grow, mature, love better, work through the mess, and become more like Jesus.

Success isn’t a perfectly smooth church service. It’s people being equipped to be the Church in the world.

Heart. Soul. Strength. We’ve heard the words—but there’s more behind them than we may realize.

The original Hebrew paints a picture of loving God from the deepest part of who we are and with our entire being.

Not just our emotions. Not just our thoughts. Everything we are.

There is joy—and growth—that comes through sacrificial service. Church isn’t just a place to keep people comfortable. It’s a community where we help one another become more like Jesus.

Are We Measuring Church Success Wrong?

Attendance. Budgets. Buildings.

They’re not bad things—but what happens when they become the way we decide whether a church is successful?

If the goal becomes filling seats, increasing budgets, and keeping programs running smoothly, we can easily start serving an institution instead of serving the Body of Christ.

Maybe the better measure of a healthy church isn’t what we can count—but whether people are actually growing.

Why Are You Tired of Serving?

Serving God shouldn’t leave you constantly depleted.

If it does, there may be a deeper question worth asking: What are you actually serving?

There’s a difference between serving the institution of the church and serving the Body of Christ—and recognizing that difference can change how we serve.

Are You Attending Church or Becoming the Church?

There’s a difference between going to church and being ALL IN for the Body of Christ.

Church isn't meant to be a place where we simply show up, consume, and go home. It's a community where we gather, serve, worship, grow and help one another become spiritually mature.

And serving isn't just about filling a position.

When ministry becomes about keeping programs running, people can become fuel for the machine.

But when we're focused on the Body of Christ, the goal changes:spiritual maturity, love, unity, and equipping people to be the Church in the world.

In this message Pastor Matt, in our ALL IN series, is asking some challenging questions:
Am I all in for gathering with God's people?
Am I all in for serving and building others up?
Am I all in in my worship?

Am I giving God everything I am, and everything I could be?

Jesus isn't looking for spectators. He's building a Body.
