One of our team members within VIET Foundation, Traci Tran is committing to her second donations matching effort!

Traci was born and raised in Vietnam and had experienced with what it was like to struggle financially in education. She got the opportunity to join her family in America and continued on with completing her education and has been a nurse since 2011. Traci wanted to support VIET Foundation’s vision so that more underprivileged students wouldn’t have to go through the same struggle she did. Thus, she wants to match all donations and also the profits that we will gain from the Paint in the Park event happening tomorrow. She will start matching all donations from today 7/29 until midnight on Sunday 7/31.

This is a very big moment for VIET Foundation and a chance for those that want to donate to DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT!

Out of the 6 students that we have, 1 of them graduated from college (Anh Phương) and 3 graduated from high school. The 3 that graduated from high school this year, we have been sponsoring them for the last 3 years.

This is Đức Thịnh, he is one of our 3 students that graduated from high school! His father passed away and he lives with his mom and grandparents. His mom lost her job during the pandemic so they face a lot of financial challenges. We have sponsored him the last 3 years and now he has applied for our college scholarship program. Thịnh has been very grateful of the opportunity and often write emails to share his appreciation to donors and VIET Foundation. We will be sponsoring him for his college journey.

This is Anh Phương, she just graduated from college and has applied for a job in the biotechnology industry. We are so proud of her accomplishments!

Last year, one of Phuong’s professors reached out to us and asked if we would be able to help her with tuition for her last year of college. We connected with Phương and got to learn about her situation. Her mom was diagnosed with tumors so the family has to spend a lot of money on medical bills unexpectedly. Phương almost couldn’t finish her last year due to financial hardship. After hearing about her situation, we decided to support her with completing her education.

While we are proud and feel rewarding to be able to provide the opportunity for the ones in need, none of this would have been possible without YOU! Thank you for helping us support students like Phương. Please continue to support us by joining our “Paint in the Park” event!

Học bổng đang mở cho năm 2023-2024.

Năm này VIET Foundation sẽ mang đến suất học bổng toàn phần bao gồm học phí, sách giáo khoa và nhu yếu phẩm xuyên suốt bốn năm đại học. Mỗi suất học bổng đại học có thể lên đến $1500 cho một sinh viên mỗi năm học.

Còn về phần học bổng dành cho học sinh thì có thể lên đến $300 cho mỗi học sinh trong mỗi năm học.

Scholarship Applications Open for 2023-2024

The College Scholarship covers tuition, books, room & board, and any other school-related expenses. The student will receive $1500 per year.

The Youth Scholarship covers tuition, books, uniforms, and any other school-related expenses. Each student will receive $300 per year for 3 years (grades 10-12).

The 2023 Paint & Sip event was a huge success! The time leading up to the event was definitely stressful, but we pulled it together as a team. I am so proud of Valeri Tran, Lily Tran, Traci Tran, and Amy Van for all of the hard work they have been putting in. Thank you for your love and passion for VIET Foundation and its mission.

Thank you to all of our volunteers: Kannoret You, Tony Tran, and Kim Van for being there to help set up and break down. Thank you to David Ou, Niki Tran, Lily Enbysk, and John Van for helping with the clean up. We couldn’t have done this without you all!

Thank you Amy Duong for the amazing food! She was so generous and had put in a lot of time and effort to prepare the bánh mì for us to sell at the event.

Thank you Safeway and Best Baguette for the donations! Thank you for Lily Tran and her family for donating the weekend getaway at her lake house for us to raffle out.

Thank you everyone for joining us at this event and brining all of your excitement. You have all made it possible for us! I hope you all spend some time celebrating yourselves for being so generous and choosing to be with VIET Foundation on a Saturday evening for a good cause.

Last but not least, thank you to Sarah (our instructor) and her boyfriend for not only successfully teaching the class but also helping with the set up and break down.
