Glacier Valley Transit Glacier Valley Transit (GVT) is a non profit public transportation system providing free public trans This service is weather and time dependent.

• Glacier Valley Transit was founded in 2008 to serve Girdwood’s public transportation needs.
• In 2010 GVT became a 501c(3) private, non-profit . It is funded through Federal grants, contracts with local businesses, and local donations.
• GVT has shown steady growth since 2008 and in 2019 GVT carried over 95,000 passengers.
• GVT is fare free but local donations are necessary to continue this se

rvice.
• Tipping the driver is not allowed under FTA regulations, but your donations allow us to pay our drivers a great wage.

Good morning!
Due to road conditions, we’ll be running the main route today and doing our best to stay on schedule. Some areas may be skipped if roads are closed or unsafe.

🚫 No service today to:
• Downtown stop
• Laundromall
• Raw Market

We will stop at the post office instead.

We also won’t be able offer flex trips until road conditions improve.

The bus will be rolling around town tonight to help you get to (and from!) your celebrations safely. 🚌💫 The final lap of the night departs the Tram Loop at 1:00 a.m.

Wishing all of you a happy and safe 2025. The bus will be rolling around town tonight to get you to your celebrations safely. The last lap of the evening will depart the Tram Loop at 1:00 am. Check TransLoc to track the bus' location. As always the ride is free but onboard donations help keep our wheels rolling and are greatly appreciated.
