Join us July 14–16 for our Bike Skills Camp!

Over three action-packed days, campers will learn basic bike maintenance from the team at Powder Hound Ski & Bike, sharpen their riding techniques during a skills workshop led by the Alyeska Bike Pros, and finish the camp with a fun group ride.

Thanks to support from the Alaska Community Foundation, we're able to offer this camp at the discounted rate of just $85.

What an amazing evening on the trail with USFS Wildlife Biologist Becky Jones! We listened for birds, learned about bird migration, and even saw a goshawk nest.

Highlights included hearing Swainson's Thrushes and Townsend's Warblers while exploring the beautiful Girdwood hemlock forest. Thank you, Becky, for sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm with our community!

Our Summer Speaker Series continues on July 15 with a program all about insects. Come discover the incredible world of bugs and the important roles they play in our ecosystem. We hope to see you there!

Join us for three afternoons of outdoor creativity and exploration. Campers will make hammered plant art, experiment with sun paper, enjoy a watercolor class by the creek with local artist Amanda Faith Thompson, and paint pins to support the upcoming Forest Fair.

Adventure awaits for grades 4–6 with our Trailblazers Summer Camp!

Spend three afternoons exploring the best of Girdwood and beyond. We'll visit historic Crow Creek Mine, hike local trails with friends, and raft beautiful Portage Creek. Camp runs from 1- 4 p.m., June 23, 24, and 25.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's Run for Women last Thursday in Girdwood

Special thanks to Turnagain Community Health, Girdwood Fire Department, Briana Sullivan, Four Valleys Community School, and Alyeska Resort for their support and partnership. We also appreciate every participant who came out and helped make the day such a positive community event.
